The 3RT6/3RT5 contactors are climatically tested and suitable for various climatic conditions.
When the application environment of the equipment is different from the standard industrial environment (specified in EN60721-3-3), it is necessary to consider the influence of the environment on the reliability and service life of the product, and take corresponding protective measures. Please contact Siemens technical support if necessary.
The 3RT6/3RT5 contactors have the function "Finger Protection" as specified in EN50274.
Add auxiliary contacts
S00 specification contactor body integrates 1 auxiliary contact (1N0 or 1NC).
S0 specification contactor body integrates 2 auxiliary contacts (1N0+1NC).
S2/S3 size contactor body has no integrated auxiliary contacts. S6/S10/S12 specification contactor body integrates 4 auxiliary contacts (2N0+2NC).
All sizes of contactors can continue to be equipped with removable auxiliary contact blocks. l For S00/S0/S2/S6/S10/S12 specifications, 4 more contacts can be installed.
l S3 specification can add 8 contacts. For all sizes, the number of normally closed contacts cannot exceed 4.
Contact reliability
Switching when the voltage does not exceed 110V or the current does not exceed 100mA, the auxiliary contacts on the 3RT6/3RT5 contactors or the 3RH61 intermediate relays have extremely high reliability. These contacts also meet the requirements of solid-state circuits, and the on-current is greater than 1mA at 17V.
Motor reference power
The motor power mentioned in the catalog refers to the power given by the motor shaft (according to the nameplate).
Rated control voltage
All contactors are available in DC or AC operation, S6 to S12 size contactor coils are AC and DC universal (AC40…60Hz, DC).
Surge suppression
The 3RT6/3RT5 contactors can provide four types of surge suppressors, RC, varistor, suppressor diode and diode combination (zener diode and diode combination) to suppress coil surges.
S6 to S12 size contactor coils have integrated varistor surge suppressors.
