With dreams as our steeds, let’s create a brilliant future—Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd.’s second round of new employee onboarding training for 2022 has concluded successfully.

From June 17 to June 20, 52 new employees from various units under Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. gathered as scheduled at Zero One Science and Technology Park to participate in the second session of the 2022 New Employee Onboarding Training Program.

Originally scattered across the country and strangers to one another, they’ve come together at Charoen Pokphand thanks to the same shared dream—and here, fueled by their dreams, they’ll join forces once again to create yet another glorious chapter for the Charoen Pokphand family.

Through After receiving generous instruction from over 17 lecturers, they’ve been reaping abundant rewards every single day. Let’s take a look together through the daily summary (partial excerpts) by Chongqing Zhengyi Mingqu Heng.

    June 17, 2022 Day 1

This afternoon, we visited the headquarters’ logistics center and office environment, giving everyone a deeper understanding of the company’s strength.

Next, we held the opening ceremony. By randomly reassigning group members, newcomers from different branches were able to quickly get to know each other. The ice-breaking games further strengthened the team’s camaraderie.

Afterward, we watched several videos. The first one that deeply resonated with me was the video about Meituan’s food delivery service. In the video, the delivery rider was very young and only knew that he needed to make money—but he felt utterly confused and lacked direction. No one offered him any guidance, so he could only rely on trading time for money. In contrast, our company has a systematic new-employee training program. From the moment we join the company, there are people who train us and teach us exactly how to do things. This is one of the benefits our company can offer us...

The second point is that the veteran employee has been with the company for 20 years, and she still wants to continue dedicating herself to the company for another 10 or even 20 years. Relatively speaking, for someone with 20 years of work experience, salary alone can no longer be the key factor in retaining them. I believe it’s rather the company’s humanistic care and the effective implementation of its corporate culture that give employees a sense of security and belonging. I think this is precisely what enables the company to continuously attract top talent.

The third item is a video course titled “Company Development and Corporate Culture” presented by the General Manager of Zero One Industrial Lin Yi. Several points in this course resonated deeply with me: First, why do we have the corporate culture of morning runs? Because our company has always upheld the principle of “working hard with joy, living happily and healthily—after all, good health is the foundation of revolution.” Only when we’re physically healthy can we perform our work more effectively. Second, I’m extremely, extremely aligned with the 721 corporate culture: 70% practice, 20% communication, and 10% theory. China’s reform and opening-up itself has been guided by the belief that practice is the sole truth driving development. As for how to assess one’s learning ability, it’s all about seeing how well one can apply theoretical knowledge to real-life situations. Finally, there’s the concept of “Six Areas of Continuous Improvement.” Whether in how we conduct ourselves or tackle tasks, as long as we embrace virtues such as diligence, humility, self-reflection, gratitude, doing good deeds, and maintaining positive energy, these uplifting qualities will help us grow rapidly no matter what challenges we face.

    June 18, 2022, Day 2

Today, I’m fortunate to be sitting together with President Wang Zhenghu, the founder of Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., and listening to President Wang share with us the idea that “Knowledge is Power.”

General Manager Wang focused his presentation on two key areas: “Know-Understand-Act” and “Mindset-Action-Habit-Results.” Many of his insights were truly eye-opening. For instance, when it comes to reading, we don’t necessarily have to read every single day—but we must make sure to read books that we can immediately put into practice, enabling us to improve more rapidly. In terms of socializing, we shouldn’t engage in pointless social interactions; instead, we should consciously reject such activities and maintain our right to choose (for example, taking the initiative to pay the bill when dining out). Then, we can devote the remaining time to activities that help us grow personally. When interacting with others, it’s crucial to seek out people who are at least two levels above us—only by doing so can we accelerate our own personal development. Once a relationship with a client reaches a certain stage, we can start discussing the company’s corporate culture with them. If the other party resonates with these ideas, we’re bound to forge a strong, long-term partnership. Helping others ultimately benefits ourselves—by putting others’ interests first, we’ll eventually find that we’ve also benefited ourselves. Transforming our thoughts into vivid mental images allows us to feel more directly oriented toward desired outcomes. If you don’t manage your finances, your finances won’t manage you—so we must develop a good habit of keeping detailed financial records. Throughout the entire course, the point he emphasized most was that we must put forth effort no less than anyone else. I could sense that throughout General Manager Wang’s journey of growth, he consistently put in far more effort than his peers, which is precisely why he achieved success. In our work, we must practice more and take more action.

Immediately afterward, General Lin addressed everyone online during his business trip to answer their questions and clarify any uncertainties. To excel in our business, we must first understand our competitors—after all, as the saying goes, “Know yourself and know your enemy, and you will never be defeated in a hundred battles.”

In the afternoon, we also listened to growth stories shared by outstanding employee representatives. Among these, regarding how to communicate with clients: First, we need to clearly define our objectives; then, we should think carefully and proactively move forward according to our plan, taking the initiative to secure resources. Finally, we must do our homework in advance so that we’ll be well-prepared and have something meaningful to discuss when communicating with our clients. When encountering problems and communicating with our supervisors, we should adopt a structured approach—“need + situation + plan”—to clearly and concisely explain to our supervisors exactly what assistance we require.

In the evening, we were mainly briefed on how to use the company’s systems, as well as how to check inventory, verify accounts, and look up overdue items.

    June 19, 2022, Day 3

Today’s takeaways are all practical and substantive—highly valuable for my future work.

In terms of warehousing and logistics, this includes the receiving and dispatching procedures, the proper arrangement of goods storage, and safety issues during freight transportation.

Through the CRM system, we’ve gained a better understanding of the entire process a customer goes through—from initial lead generation to closing the deal. Additionally, in our daily work, I’ve learned how to clock in when visiting clients in person, as well as the importance of keeping track of clients’ industry information and their unique client codes. These are all new insights I’ve gained from this course.

How to conduct customer credit assessment—some notes on filling out the required information—and we were also given two illustrative examples of credit assessments.

    June 20, 2022, Day 4

Today, we were first given training on fraud prevention. The instructor started by analyzing real-life cases, focusing primarily on the issues of later disputes arising from ambiguous wording in contracts that we’ve encountered.

Next, we’re delighted to hear from Mr. Lian Canhuan, General Manager of Siemens’ Motor Division. His journey—from the four employees who joined the company in 2007 to today’s sizable team—has deeply resonated with me, highlighting the tremendous effort and perseverance he has demonstrated along the way. Whenever we take on any endeavor, it’s crucial to keep our future plans, goals, and direction firmly in mind. Only then can we achieve success in our work, stay true to our original aspirations, and ultimately attain what we truly desire.

In the afternoon, Director Huang Xuehua from the office gave us a training session on “Office Management and Reception Etiquette,” which was extremely beneficial for me. It emphasized the importance of being observant in all directions—keeping an eye out for everything around you—and listening attentively to every detail. It also highlighted three levels of doing things: meeting standards, adding warmth and empathy, and striving for excellence. What lies in between these three levels is precisely the ability to think ahead. When we can anticipate potential situations and make the necessary preparations in advance, we’re sure to handle matters flawlessly and achieve perfection. At the same time, we must approach every task with a serious attitude, show genuine care and attention, and take proactive action.

At the evening’s summary and recognition ceremony for new employee training, You Gaofeng, Assistant to the General Manager and CFO of Zero One Industry, shared with us several key areas for improvement: leveraging external resources, cultivating a sense of purpose, building self-confidence, expanding our network, enhancing emotional intelligence, mastering the art of gift-giving, and adopting a broader perspective. All these aspects require us to study them diligently. Therefore, there’s still much for us to learn in our future work and studies. At the same time, I’m truly honored to have joined the big family of CP Group.

The 3.5-day training event came to a swift close, and a new batch of CP Group employees is now fully prepared and ready to go. Filled with dreams and driven by a strong sense of mission, they are united with the company’s development, marching forward in the same direction as their senior colleagues. They dare to take the lead, relish the challenge, and remain steadfastly committed to creating a new era of brilliance together. Having met at CP Group, we are both dream chasers and dream fulfillers.
