Learning inspires us to strive forward and helps us map out our future. While most people are still basking in the joy of the double holiday, Zhengda is fully embracing this time-honored tradition by making the most of the break—reading to enhance ourselves and engaging in strategic budgeting and planning. From October 6 to 9, 2020, Zhengda Machinery & Electronics held its highly anticipated 2021 Business Planning Conference and National Day Learning & Sharing Meeting. The conference consisted of three main segments: departmental and subsidiary business planning meetings for 2021, a centralized report meeting on the 2021 business planning achievements of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., and a learning and sharing session.

    I. 2021 Business Planning Meeting for All Departments and Subsidiaries

From October 6 to 8, a total of 15 sub-venues—including Zero One Industry, the Investment and Development Department of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, Foshan Chengpu Consulting & Management Co., Ltd., and Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Bearing Co., Ltd.—simultaneously held the 2021 Business Planning Conference. As the largest subsidiary under Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, Zero One Industry, under the guidance and authorization of General Manager Lin Yi, organized key employees from various departments and subsidiaries to hold meetings in seven cities: Foshan, Shaoyang, Xi'an, Chengdu, Dongguan, Wuchuan, and Qingyuan.

    Venue 1: Foshan

As the main venue, Foshan hosted meetings convened by 12 departments and subsidiaries under Zhengda Machinery & Electronics.
The team led by General Manager Lian Canhuan—including the Siemens Motor Division of Zero One Industry, the Zheng Yi Sheng Division, the Foreign Trade Department, and Jinan Lingjun Automation Technology Co., Ltd.—focused their discussions on achieving the goal of “500 million yuan in sales for Siemens LVM products over the next five years.”
Lin Chubo, Deputy General Manager of Siemens Motor Division, analyzed the division’s sales performance for 2020, noting that the number of newly developed customers was 1.5 times that of the same period last year. Wang Weimei, Deputy General Manager, reported on the inventory and accounts receivable situation of Siemens Motor Division. During the two-day joint meeting of the four departments, everyone discussed the goal of “500 million yuan in LVM products over the next five years,” freely sharing their views and offering suggestions for the departments’ development. General Manager Lian Canhuan pointed out that when managing the business unit, it’s not enough to simply focus on sales revenue—more importantly, we must pay close attention to the turnover rate of capital. How to achieve maximum profitability with the fewest resources is something every colleague needs to carefully consider.
The meeting of Foshan Zhengyi Automation Equipment Co., Ltd. was opened with an opening address by General Manager Peng Jinsong. Deputy General Manager Hu Qiuyuan analyzed the sales performance in 2020, the budget completion status of Siemens’ various product lines, and the transaction results with OEM and distribution customers.
After the overall analysis was completed, the Core Management Team, supervisors, and business team leaders split into two separate meeting rooms for discussion. The Core Management Team reviewed Siemens’ sales performance for the current fiscal year and discussed plans for the new fiscal year, key areas for breakthroughs, and talent development strategies. Meanwhile, supervisors and business team leaders exchanged insights on their respective business performances in 2020 and engaged in in-depth discussions on how to lead their teams toward further growth and development.
The team leaders from the OEM department and the Commercial Department each led their respective team members to analyze their teams’ customer profiles, the 2021 budget, and the issues that need to be addressed.

Next, all colleagues divided into three groups to summarize the achievements made and the issues that remain. The achievements include: the company has turned a profit, all employees have passed the DS exam, and the LOGO has obtained the necessary license. The existing issues are: insufficient breadth, depth, and frequency in customer development, as well as an inadequate pipeline of tiered talent.
All colleagues enthusiastically shared their ideas and suggestions on various aspects—including product strategy, business model, regional expansion, key customers, self-owned businesses, policy utilization, technical support, and human resources—focusing on the 2021 goal of achieving a breakthrough growth of 60%. Employee representatives Peng Tao and Yang Kai also shared their successful experiences as well as next year’s goals and work plans with everyone.

After two days of careful deliberation and summarization, the half-day centralized briefing session on Lingyi Industrial’s 2021 business planning officially kicked off at 8:15 a.m. on October 9.
The meeting was divided into three main parts. First, representatives from the six strategic companies—Dongguan Dasheng, Siemens Motor Division, Zhengyi Automation, Changsha Lingyi, Chengdu Nengda, and Xi'an Zhengyi Long—presented their reports. The “3+1+2” group achieved steady growth in the first three quarters and plans to strive for even higher goals in 2021. As an external core company, Changsha Lingyi aims to surpass the 100-million-yuan mark in 2020 and is set to target over 50% growth in 2021. Chengdu Nengda and Xi'an Zhengyi Long represent Lingyi Industry’s younger business segments, which are experiencing rapid growth; together, these two companies’ Western Region division posted a year-on-year growth rate exceeding 200%. In summarizing Zero One Industry’s overall performance for the first three quarters and sharing his outlook for the full year, he also shared with everyone Zero One Industry’s new developments in 2020. In terms of business types, in addition to its traditional industrial agency services, Zero One Industry has expanded into disc manufacturing and integration services, boldly pioneering new business models. Regarding products, Zero One Industry has introduced Siemens’ new product lines, launched Nidec-branded products, and established collaborations with Zhongqing Motors and Shanghai Electric for high- and low-voltage motors in the domestic motor sector. In terms of regions, the company has expanded into the Chongqing and East China markets. As for corporate operations and development, Zero One Industry has focused on developing a CRM system and achieved significant progress in building its HR framework. General Manager Lin urged everyone: “In the face of changing global trade dynamics and the trend toward internal economic circulation in China, we must pay close attention to balancing risk control with growth. I hope everyone will seize the opportunities presented by suppliers’ growth and leverage these to fuel our own development. And once the company has grown stronger and bigger, let’s dare to envision boldly while carefully validating our future steps.”
2020 was an extraordinary year. Faced with volatile global trade dynamics and the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, ZeroOne Industrial not only supported national and global efforts to combat the epidemic but also deepened its engagement with customers, pursued technological innovation, served society, and strived for excellence. In the first three quarters, ZeroOne Industrial achieved remarkable results, realizing a substantial, leapfrog growth across the board and breaking previous performance records. We are confident that, with the continued hard work and dedication of ZeroOne Industrial and its subsidiaries and functional departments, tomorrow will bring even greater success for ZeroOne Industrial.

III. “Together in 2020, Starting Anew—The Harder You Work, the Luckier You’ll Be” Learning and Sharing Session

On October 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. held a learning and sharing session titled “Together in 2020, Starting Anew—The Harder You Work, the Luckier You’ll Be” at the International Conference Center of Zero One Science and Technology Park. The session lasted eight hours and was attended by more than 110 people, including not only those who had participated in the business planning meeting on the morning of the 9th, but also key members from Chengpu JinFu, the Investment Department of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, and Dongguan Zhengda Datongde Bearing Co., Ltd. President Wang Zhenghu and General Manager Lin Yi were present in person to provide guidance and support to the participants.

    (National Day Study Sharing Session)

This learning-sharing session focused on the practical experiences from Nanguo Taoyuan, as well as insights gained from Wei Zhe’s video and Yang Guonan’s “Yang’s Triangle of Organizational Capabilities.” To help everyone further digest and understand these concepts, and to encourage mutual learning and cross-inspiration, we invited 33 guests to share their thoughts and experiences on-site. All participants analyzed and shared their insights by drawing on Teacher Wei Zhe’s video—Alibaba’s “Three Axes”: Recruitment, Training, and Performance Evaluation—and Professor Yang Guonan’s “Yang’s Triangle”—which encompasses employee capabilities, employees’ thinking abilities, and their governance approaches—while relating them to their own specific situations. Participants generally reported that this type of meeting enables them to better interpret and convey the company’s corporate culture and gain a deeper understanding of the company’s strategic goals. They also emphasized the importance of continuous learning, cultivating gratitude, engaging in self-reflection, and conducting regular summaries. In response to each participant’s questions, General Manager Lin provided detailed comments and feedback. He once again clearly articulated ZeroOne Industry’s mission: to drive technological innovation, serve society, and strive for excellence.

(Each delegate shared their insights and takeaways from the practical experiences in Nanguo Taoyuan, Wei Zhe’s video, and Yang Gu'an’s presentation on “Yang’s Triangle of Organizational Capabilities.”)

Mr. Wang, drawing on the company’s “369 Culture,” provided comments and guidance to those sharing their insights: “Your mindset determines your behavior; your behavior shapes your habits; and your habits ultimately dictate your outcomes—and outcomes never lie.” Regarding the recruitment of new employees, Mr. Wang emphasized that it’s crucial to find individuals whose values align with those of the company, as only then can everyone move forward together. Second, he highlighted the importance of learning ability. An individual’s success doesn’t rely solely on personal effort—it also depends on having a strong platform, excellent products, and favorable timing, all combined with one’s own hard work. Therefore, we must strive even harder than anyone else, reflect on ourselves, summarize our experiences, and learn to be grateful. Furthermore, based on the formula proposed by Professor Yang Guoan—“Corporate Success = Strategy × Organizational Capability”—Mr. Wang pointed out that for a company to achieve sustained success, it must first define a clear strategy and then effectively implement that strategy through its organizational capabilities.

The “Together in 2020, Starting Anew—The More You Strive, the Luckier You’ll Be” learning and sharing session hosted by Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. came to a close amid enthusiastic applause.
