The COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread overseas, while domestically, thanks to the leadership of the Party and the government, the epidemic has long been brought under control. In response to the national call to boost consumption and coinciding with Zhengda Machinery’s annual tourism season, the first tour group of 2020 from Zhengda Machinery embarked on a nine-day trip to Ordos, Yulin, Yan'an, and Xi'an on July 22.
Read widely and travel far—Zhengda Electromechanical encourages its employees to step out of their comfort zones, broaden their horizons, and elevate their perspectives. Among the many ways to put this philosophy into practice, traveling is an important one, and it also happens to be a significant benefit that the company offers to its employees.
On the first day of the tour, the group flew to Ordos, located in the heart of the Hetao region at the "several-character bend" of the Yellow River. They visited Ordos’s urban landmarks—Kangbashi Grand Theater, the library, and Genghis Khan Square—and experienced the rich cultural heritage of the Ordos ethnic group.
Everyone has a distant place in their heart—perhaps it’s an endless expanse of grassland, or maybe an infinite, boundless desert. The next day, the tour group set off by car for Xiangsha Bay and the Ordos Grassland.
Xiangsha Bay is a crescent-shaped sand dune. On clear, rainless days when the sand is dry, as people slide down from the top of the dune, the sand produces a buzzing, humming sound reminiscent of an airplane engine—hence its name, “Xiangsha Bay.” Here, you can marvel at the mysterious camel herds, experience the thrill of high-altitude cableways, and ride desert motorcycles, fully immersing yourself in the joys of the desert.

Every Southerner harbors a dream of the grasslands. When you arrive at the Ordos Grassland, your eyes are immediately greeted by vast skies and expansive clouds. The vibrant horse-flower blossoms seem to flutter like shimmering butterflies, gently flapping their wings and swaying amid the lush greenery of the prairie. On this boundless expanse of grassland, more than 500 yurts form an awe-inspiring spectacle. The equestrian performances tell the story of the Mongolian hero Batuer, while the Ordos wedding—a sacred and ancient ritual—celebrates the guardians of Genghis Khan’s tomb. And on a grassland night, the bonfire party is both grand and solemn.

Yulin, located south of the Maowusu Desert, is Shaanxi’s second-largest economic city. On the third day of the tour, the group departed from the Ordos Grassland and headed to the Damo Lvtao Sha Golf Club in Yulin, Shaanxi, where they enjoyed a round of golf. The Shaanxi Damo Lvtao Sha Golf Club has created a new miracle in humanity’s struggle against the desert. The natural desert landscape and lush green fairways vividly showcase a vibrant scene of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
