On April 1, the Foshan Federation of Industry and Commerce, together with Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Tianji Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd., and Guangdong Xingqi Metal Co., Ltd., visited the Guangzhou Baiyun Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station to express their gratitude to frontline personnel working on preventing the importation of COVID-19 cases from abroad. They also donated 17,000 medical masks, 500 sets of protective suits, and a batch of disinfectants and sanitizers—essential epidemic prevention supplies—to support the efforts to combat the importation of COVID-19 cases. Wu Yingming, Vice Chairman of the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce, attended the donation ceremony.

Currently, in order to effectively prevent the importation of COVID-19 cases from abroad, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce is actively cooperating with the unified deployment of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government. It has dispatched its cadres and staff members to join the special task force for receiving and transporting inbound travelers, going to airports and border checkpoints in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, and other cities to provide point-to-point reception services for Foshan students returning from overseas, overseas Chinese, and foreign nationals entering China. These individuals are then placed under centralized quarantine.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Municipal Federation of Industry and Commerce has actively launched a series of initiatives, including “Unite Hearts and Pool Strength to Fight the Pandemic—Demonstrating Responsibility Through Solidarity,” “You Go to the Frontline, I Lend a Hand—Working Together to Win the Battle Against the Epidemic,” and the “Spring Warmth Initiative for Private Enterprises’ Resumption of Work and Production.” According to incomplete statistics, more than 430 private enterprises and chamber of commerce organizations in Foshan have collectively donated funds and supplies worth over 1 billion RMB, showcasing the great compassion and sense of responsibility of Foshan’s private enterprises and embodying the spirit of Foshan entrepreneurs in the new era.
