Thus began a war without smoke of gunpowder—a nationwide battle against the epidemic that united the entire nation in solidarity and determination. Since mid-to-late January 2020, affected by the epidemic, all provinces across the country have successively activated the Level-I response mechanism for major public health emergencies. Wuhan, situated at the epicenter of the outbreak, announced a city lockdown on January 23, 2020. Thus, a war without smoke officially kicked off across the nation. For a time, the entire country united as one, pooling its strength and working together to fight the epidemic!

On the morning of January 29 (the fifth day of the Chinese New Year), Qiu Weiru, Sales Manager of Siemens Motor Division at Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guangdong Lingyi”), received a call for help from Guangzhou Tianjia Environmental Control Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Guangzhou Tianjia”). During the call, he learned that Guangzhou Tianjia was preparing to supply central air-conditioning units for the Xiaotangshan Hospital project in Beijing. Guangzhou Tianjia has been a long-term partner of Guangdong Lingyi for many years, and most of the motors used in its central air-conditioning systems are Siemens-brand motors—motors that are entirely supplied by Guangdong Lingyi. Given the current severe epidemic prevention and control situation, Guangzhou Tianjia urgently needs Guangdong Lingyi to deliver the required motors in the shortest possible time.

(Manager Qiu Weiru counted the inventory of Siemens motors at our company’s logistics center in Guangzhou Tianjia and arranged for the fastest possible delivery.)

On the evening of January 29 (the fifth day of the Chinese New Year), Manager Qiu Weiru compiled the inventory figures from the Zero One Logistics Center based on Guangzhou Tianjia’s motor demand and sent them to Guangzhou Tianjia, enabling the latter to make advance preparations for resuming work. Guangzhou Tianjia also decided to urgently convene 90 employees to resume work ahead of schedule, starting on February 3. Consequently, they requested Guangdong Zero One to ensure that the first batch of 93 urgently needed motors would be delivered to the factory by early morning on February 3. Upon learning of the situation, General Manager Lin Yi of Guangdong Zero One attached great importance to it. To help the customer prepare for logistics and transportation, General Manager Lin immediately organized multiple teleconferences involving Assistant to General Manager Li Yuan and Manager Zheng Zhihui from the Zero One Logistics Center. On February 3 (the tenth day of the Chinese New Year), Zero One recalled some logistics center staff on an emergency basis, contributing our part to the fight against the epidemic. To avoid disrupting the customer’s production, early in the morning of February 3, the logistics center staff worked together seamlessly to load the first batch of 93 motors onto trucks and deliver them safely to Guangzhou Tianjia’s factory before 10:00 a.m. As soon as the motors arrived, Guangzhou Tianjia promptly installed them into the air-conditioning equipment.

Afterward, Guangzhou Tianjia not only participated in the Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital project but also supplied central air-conditioning systems for Xiaotangshan Hospital projects in Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, and other cities. The rapid delivery and deployment of central air-conditioning systems for these projects fully embody Guangdong Lingyi’s “customer-first” philosophy and reflect the hardworking and determined spirit of the Lingyi team. From February 3 to February 28, Guangdong Lingyi had already supplied more than 300 Siemens-brand motors to Guangzhou Tianjia.
In this battle against the epidemic, it’s not just Guangzhou Tianjia that’s taking action—two other well-known central air-conditioning companies are also supplying central air-conditioning systems to Beijing’s Xiaotangshan Hospital and “Xiaotangshan” hospitals across the country. These companies are YK Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “YK”) and WK Air Conditioning Equipment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “WK”). Both of these companies have been long-term clients of Guangdong Lingyi for many years. As among the top ten players in the central air-conditioning industry, Guangzhou Tianjia, YK Air Conditioning, and WK Air Conditioning have all stepped up to their rightful responsibilities. In response swiftly to the nation’s epidemic prevention and control directives, they’ve promptly provided centralized purification air-conditioning systems for hospital renovations across various regions. As a strategic partner of these three companies, Guangdong Lingyi has also received, one after another since February 3, “Urgent Supply Communication Letters” and supply requests from YK Air Conditioning and WK Air Conditioning.

(Guangdong Lingyi received urgent supply-communication letters from several air-conditioning companies.)

After receiving the “Urgent Supply Communication Letters” from these customers, General Manager Lin immediately organized multiple conference calls involving Lian Canhuan, General Manager of Siemens Motor Division, and Lin Chubo, Deputy General Manager. He also provided guidance to ensure smooth communication and coordination among all departments at the Siemens motor factory. In addition, he directed efforts to effectively coordinate resources across the company, with suppliers, and with logistics partners, doing everything possible to achieve the goal of completing shipments within an extremely short timeframe—thus meeting the urgent supply demands of the three air-conditioning companies. Every second counts as we race against the epidemic, and we are doing our utmost to contribute to the safety of the people.
Thanks to our joint efforts, the first truck of the year—fully loaded with Siemens-brand motors—swiftly arrived at the Guangdong Lingyi Logistics Center. General Lin emphasized that while ensuring the normal operation of our company’s logistics supply chain, the logistics center must also do a thorough job of epidemic prevention and control.

(The first batch of Siemens-brand motors delivered during the pandemic have undergone thorough disinfection measures at the logistics center.)
After the motors arrived at the logistics center, Manager Qiu Weiru (in charge of Guangzhou Tianjia’s business), Salesperson Lin Liangyong (in charge of YK air-conditioning business), and Salesperson Deng Huicong (in charge of WK air-conditioning business) each maintained close communication with the three companies regarding their production schedules, providing full support to meet their production needs and ensuring that our Siemens-branded motors are delivered to the customers’ factories on time and as scheduled. With everyone’s joint efforts, we’ll complete the task on time and with high quality, delivering the motors that meet customer needs quickly and accurately. Since February 3, Guangdong Lingyi has supplied over a thousand Siemens-brand motors to Guangzhou Tianjia, YK Air Conditioning, and WK Air Conditioning. These motors have been shipped along with the customers’ equipment to hospitals across various cities—including Beijing, Chongqing, Zhengzhou, and Shenzhen—where they are now delivering their maximum value!

In the face of the epidemic, every enterprise should contribute its part to society and to the nation. Since 2007, Guangdong Lingyi has been a strategic partner of Siemens. After 13 years of hard work and dedication, we’ve grown from “zero” to “one,” successfully becoming an outstanding distributor for Siemens in South China and receiving the honor of Siemens’ Outstanding Distributor award for many consecutive years.

Along the way, the team at Zero One has earned the trust and support of our customers and suppliers by upholding our core values: “Integrity, Professionalism, Innovation, and Win-Win Cooperation.” Looking ahead, we will continue to strive relentlessly, firmly committed to our corporate mission of “Driving Technological Innovation, Serving Society, and Pursuing Excellence,” and contribute our part to society and the nation. We believe that with the concerted efforts of people across the country, we will surely overcome the pandemic at an early date and once again see our motherland flourish in all its glory!
