In the Spring of the Year of Gengzi, a fierce outbreak of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus struck the land of Jingchu and spread across the entire country. The epidemic is merciless, yet humanity remains full of love! All employees of Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd. have actively responded to the calls of the national and local governments, adhering to the principle of putting customers first. We’ve switched to online operations, promptly addressing our customers’ urgent needs and alleviating their concerns. Moreover, we’ve cooperated closely with the government in carrying out a series of measures for epidemic prevention and resuming work: contributing our modest efforts by mobilizing overseas resources to procure medical supplies and making precise donations through multiple channels; adopting remote working arrangements and implementing home-based office policies; ensuring uninterrupted online learning; and procuring essential supplies to enable businesses to resume operations safely and smoothly.
One, Charitable Action
1. Starting January 29, the headquarters of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics mobilized its overseas resources and made every effort to procure medical supplies from countries including Australia, Germany, the United States, South Korea, and Canada for donation to medical institutions. On February 3, we finally received good news: President Wang Zhenghu contacted Shi Yifeng, son of Shi Hao, General Manager of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Bearing Co., Ltd., and learned that a batch of medical supplies had been located in the United States, ready to be shipped back to China for donation to medical institutions. The supplies include protective masks, protective gloves, and goggles.
2. On February 6, President Wang Zhenghu donated 200,000 yuan in his personal name to the Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Public Welfare Fund. Additionally, on behalf of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Headquarters and through Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., he made a targeted donation of 200,000 yuan to the Wuhan University Education Foundation, earmarked for the Luojia White-Coat Angel Fund. This fund is specifically intended to provide financial support to frontline medical personnel in Wuhan for their efforts in epidemic prevention and control as well as related scientific research.
3. General Manager Shi Hao made a targeted donation through the alumni group, which will be used to fund medical supplies for hospitals in Xiaogan City, Hubei Province. President Wang Zhenghu made a targeted donation through the Xinyouhui group, which will be used to fund the procurement of medical supplies in South America.
II. Online office work ensures high-quality service for our valued customers.
To strengthen the prevention and control of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus infection and effectively reduce gatherings of people to curb the spread of the epidemic, all company employees will switch to an online working model and work from home by February 10, ensuring that all tasks proceed smoothly. Staying put, providing online services, and taking good care of your family (including relatives, friends, and neighbors) is a way to support the community and government efforts!
The General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Lin Yi was the first to adopt WeChat and telephone communication to organize multiple meetings, promptly addressing issues for business departments and urging the heads of its subsidiaries to guide their employees in using various communication methods—such as WeChat, phone calls, and emails—to respond swiftly to the diverse needs of customers and provide professional, attentive service.

Customer Emergency Services
1. From January 31 to February 1, Long Wenxiang, Sales Engineer, and Shen Zhiyuan, Technical Engineer, from Changsha Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., provided two-day, one-night technical support services at the customer’s site.
Changsha Zero One’s client, Changsha Medick Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., specializes in manufacturing intelligent refrigeration systems designed to provide equipment for the medical industry. On January 30, during the trial run of a blood-automated refrigeration unit at the Yueyang Central Blood Bank, two servo motors triggered alarm faults. The on-site engineers then reached out to Changsha Zero One for assistance. Due to the pandemic situation, Changsha Zero One’s industrial engineers communicated with the customer via telephone to help troubleshoot the issue—but they were still unable to pinpoint the root cause of the problem. To ensure the smooth operation of the medical system, on January 31, sales engineer Long Wenxiang and technical engineer Shen Zhiyuan brought two new Siemens servo motors to the Yueyang Central Blood Bank to resolve the customer’s issue. After conducting a thorough inspection using PLC programming software and replacing the faulty motors, they performed tests and discovered that the problem stemmed from two factors: First, the customer’s mechanical structure had not been properly assembled, leading to increased frictional resistance; second, the cable installation was not standardized, causing the motor to become entangled as it rotated along with the mechanical components, further exacerbating the resistance. These two factors combined resulted in the malfunction. To help the customer ensure the continuous and reliable operation of the blood-automated refrigeration unit, the two engineers worked side by side with the customer until late in the evening of February 1. After extensive discussions and negotiations, they returned to Changsha.

3. Chengdu Nengda Technology Co., Ltd. is fully assisting in the delivery of a batch of Siemens motors required for the construction of the new campus of Beijing Xiaotangshan Hospital.
On February 6, Tianjia Environmental Equipment Company received a project for the new campus of Xiaotangshan Hospital in Beijing and urgently needed 78 Siemens motors. The company requested assistance from Chengdu Nengda to ensure that the required supplies were ready within the specified timeframe. Upon learning of this situation, General Manager Lin Yi attached great importance to it. He organized multiple teleconferences involving Wang Yijian, General Manager of Chengdu Nengda; Zuo Siliang, Sales Manager; and Lian Canhuan, General Manager of Siemens Motor Division. General Manager Wang Yijian and Manager Zuo Siliang were instructed to maintain close communication and coordination with all relevant departments at Siemens, and to make every effort to coordinate resources across the company, suppliers, logistics, and other areas. The goal was to complete the shipment as quickly as possible, meeting the customer’s urgent supply needs and racing against time to combat the epidemic, thereby doing their utmost to safeguard the safety of the people.

The online courses take two main forms: live webinars and video-based learning on the Partner Competency Development Management Platform. The live webinars feature Siemens industrial experts sharing and exchanging technical expertise; the video-based learning on the Partner Competency Development Management Platform includes product introductions, product operation tutorials, fundamental theory, and application case studies.
