In 2018-2019, in response to the national call to fight poverty, Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd. sent a total of 12 people in three batches to Muli and Zhaojue counties in Sichuan Province to carry out paired village-enterprise poverty alleviation activities. President Wang personally made two trips to these areas, leading the company’s senior executives and core team members to conduct on-site poverty alleviation work.

(In June 2018, President Wang and his delegation signed the “Pairwise Assistance Agreement.”)
(In November 2018, the general manager of Lingyi Industrial Lin Yi and his team conducted a second round of poverty alleviation efforts.)
From April 14 to April 19, 2019, President Wang, General Manager Lu Zaiqing of the Shunde Branch of Lingyi Industrial, and Peng Zaihua, CFO of the Bearing Company—altogether a group of three—visited Muli, Sichuan, for the third on-site coordination meeting related to the paired assistance program between Zhengda Machinery and the village enterprise.

During this trip, we primarily visited the leaders and team members dispatched by Foshan City to Muli County for poverty alleviation efforts. We listened to their stories—both the hardships and joys they’ve experienced in their work to help local communities lift themselves out of poverty—and, led by them, we paid visits to the homes of local ethnic minority residents. We engaged in warm and friendly conversations with the villagers. From Muli to the villagers’ homes, our journey took us through a pristine forest characterized by winding, serpentine paths and frequent landslides. As we passed scattered houses perched atop the mountains, we gained a profound understanding of the villagers’ reality: isolated from the outside world, living in poverty and backwardness, and enduring extremely difficult daily lives. We also came to deeply appreciate the harsh working conditions faced by the poverty-alleviation staff—yet despite these challenges, they remain positive and enthusiastic in their dedication.
During my few days in Muli, deep in the remote mountains, I saw evidence of the nation’s poverty-alleviation efforts everywhere—and also witnessed the tangible results of those efforts. I felt the nation’s heartfelt aspiration that all Chinese people work together toward common prosperity.
