Setting Sail for 2018: Learning from the Leaders—A delegation from the company’s functional departments visits the headquarters of Tencent and Huawei.

On January 20, a delegation led by Wang Zhenghu, President of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd., Lin Yi, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., and Lei Yuqiang, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Real Estate Co., Ltd., along with heads of various functional departments, accepted an invitation from Zhang Lun, Manager of Tencent’s Financial Products Department, and Fan Linfang, Manager at Huawei, to visit and exchange ideas at Tencent’s Shenzhen headquarters and Huawei’s Shenzhen headquarters—to learn from the industry leaders! The functional representatives attending this study tour included Pan Shaohong, Manager of the Audit Department; Huo Zhiqiang, Manager of the IT Department; Li Yingqiang, Director of the Human Resources Department; Ni Xuefeng, Director of the Finance Department; Ye Xiaohong, Manager of the Marketing Department; Huang Xuehua, Director of the Office; Zheng Zhihui, Manager of the Logistics Center; and Yin Jingji, Supervisor of the Supply Department.
In the morning, we arrived at Tencent Building, located in Nanshan District, Shenzhen. Manager Zhang Lun from Tencent’s Financial Products Department warmly guided us on a tour that took us through Tencent Academy, the multi-functional floor, the employee cafeteria, and the Corporate Culture Exhibition Hall. On the real-time display screen in the Corporate Culture Exhibition Hall, we could clearly see the current number of QQ users online, the current user base of WeChat, and the company’s growth journey. Today, Tencent’s innovations in both products and business models have become industry classics, leading and transforming the way we work and live.
We also visited Tencent’s gym, dance studio, physiotherapy clinic, and special employee cafeteria. Tencent’s comfortable working environment and human-centered design share striking similarities with those of our Guangdong Zero One Science and Technology Park.
At noon, we arrived at Huawei’s headquarters in Longgang, Shenzhen. Our first stop was Huawei University, where we got a glimpse of the impressive atmosphere of this globally renowned corporate university and experienced the humanistic side of employees’ lives.
In the afternoon, we visited the Industry Solutions Exhibition Hall and the Video Conferencing Laboratory, gaining insights into how Huawei’s products are applied in enterprises and experiencing firsthand how globally renowned high-tech companies are leveraging technological innovation to shape the future. In an atmosphere of openness and collaboration, President Wang Zhenghu and Huawei Manager Fan Linfang exchanged views on topics such as the introduction of innovative resources and the development of specialized application platforms. The discussion focused particularly on how video conferencing rooms can enhance our work efficiency, as well as the upgrade of Guangdong Lingyi Science and Technology Park and the introduction of Huawei products into the Gaoming New Science and Technology Park.
Afterward, we checked into the Wanda Huahua Hotel in Dongguan and, in the evening, had an exchange and discussion with Mr. Zhang Xiao, General Manager of Dongguan Dazheng Mechanical & Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Charoen Pokphand Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd.; Mr. Lin Guanjin, Manager; and Mr. Liu Yi, General Manager of Dongguan Zhengda Tongde Bearing Co., Ltd.
Embarking on 2018—the first year of the next 20-year journey for Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd.—the company and its functional departments took the lead in going out to exchange and learn from other organizations. Everyone gained profound insights and valuable lessons from this experience. Therefore, the following morning, a summary meeting was held to reflect on and consolidate what had been learned during the visit. We must uphold a spirit of continuous innovation and the pursuit of excellence; carry out our work with the philosophy of “professionalism and innovation”; leverage management innovations to boost the enthusiasm and initiative of all employees; and strengthen employee training to enhance their job skills and efficiency, thereby achieving win-win development.
