From the 14th to the 16th of 2016, Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. organized the 2016 Lecturer Appreciation Event—a three-day tour to Chenzhou, Hunan Province. Nearly 20 internal lecturers participated in this event. During the three-day trip to Chenzhou, participants marveled at the rolling Gaoyi Ridge, the brilliantly gilded Yinlou, the quaint and historic Banliang Ancient Village, the East Lake where water and sky merge into one, and the boundless Yangtian Lake. They experienced Hunan’s natural beauty and its unique cultural atmosphere, and everyone gained a great deal from the trip.

During the three-day trip to Chenzhou, participants marveled at the rolling Gaoyi Ridge, the brilliantly gilded Yinlou, the quaint and historic Banliang Ancient Village, the East Lake where water and sky merge into one, and the boundless Yangtian Lake. They experienced Hunan’s natural beauty and its unique cultural atmosphere, and everyone gained valuable insights and benefits from the trip.
On October 14, the lecturers boarded a high-speed train bound for Chenzhou, Hunan, at 8:34 a.m., thus beginning their journey. First, they arrived at Gao Yiling—a pristine Danxia landform that remains undeveloped. Its most distinctive feature is the picturesque pools of water scattered around the Danxia landscape: red cliffs reflected in emerald waters, perilous fortresses nestled amid extraordinary ravines—everything here is breathtakingly beautiful and utterly natural. Next, they visited the Silver Building, adorned with silver sheets. In the afternoon, we explored the quaint and historic village of Banliang. Known for its rich cultural heritage and fertile land, Banliang is one of the primary ancestral homes of the Liu clan in the region. Before the village stands a seven-story ancient pagoda; upon entering the village, you’ll find an ancient stone bridge. Inside the village, you’ll discover temples, shrines, pavilions, and old private schools, as well as an ancient commercial street and a historic money exchange. The ancient village boasts small bridges over flowing streams, winding paths leading to secluded corners, and ingeniously arranged pagodas, ancient wells, and stone-paved streets. The peculiar rocks and unique architecture of this village are truly remarkable, offering a glimpse into the timeless charm of rural China.
On October 15, everyone visited the Dongjiang Lake Scenic Area. Dongjiang Lake seamlessly blends the elegance of the mountains with the enchanting charm of its waters, embodying both the beauty of the southern lands and the rich heritage of ancient civilization. It’s renowned as “a lake that bridges heaven and earth, where myriad scenes unfold within its depths.” With its vast expanse of emerald waters reflecting the boundless universe, Dongjiang Lake adds infinite splendor to the already breathtaking landscape, filling one’s heart with joy and leaving visitors utterly captivated, reluctant to depart. As everyone was still marveling at the sight of the dam holding back the eastern waters and the majestic gorge giving rise to a tranquil lake, little did they expect that, just as dusk was approaching, they’d be treated to another unforgettable spectacle: mist shrouding Dongjiang Lake and fishermen casting their nets—a scene that made the small Dongjiang River seem like a fairyland on earth.
On October 16, everyone visited the Yangtian Lake Grassland Scenic Area. Although the weather wasn't quite as expected—dense fog shrouded the entire grassland—everyone still got to experience the enchanting scenery of a misty grassland. The grasslands and mountains, bathed in the soft glow of the south wind, shimmered like clouds and rosy hues, immersed in a vast expanse of mist. Cattle and horses leisurely grazed on the high hills, creating serene and picturesque scenes one after another. Meanwhile, under the golden sunlight, the autumn reeds swayed gently, and geese flew gracefully along winding bridges, presenting an ethereal and hazy landscape.
The three-day journey passed quickly. It’s not the destination that matters, but rather the journey itself—this holds true for nature as well as for life. The spring flowers and autumn moons of this world, with their myriad hues and vibrant splendor, arrive with great fanfare and fade away in graceful abundance. As long as we seize every moment, savor each unique natural and cultural scene, and immerse ourselves in experiences we wouldn’t normally notice, we can also gain insights into human culture that we’d otherwise overlook.
