Double Ninth Festival—Honoring the Elderly and Showing Love: Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd.’s 2015 Visit to Zhangcha Nursing Home for the Elderly

On the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, we express our deep respect and care for the elderly. To carry forward the traditional virtues of the Chinese nation and further promote the fine social ethos of respecting, cherishing, and assisting the elderly, on October 22, 2015—the very day of the Double Ninth Festival—led by Mak Chun-ming, Assistant General Manager of the Siemens Motor Division at Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd., and Zheng Zhi-hui, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical, a group of 16 employees from Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical visited the Zhangcha Nursing Home in Chancheng District to deliver festive greetings and show their care during the Double Ninth Festival.
On the occasion of the Double Ninth Festival, we express our deep respect and care for the elderly. During the event, our team presented gifts of comfort and wished the elderly good health and a happy retirement. The residents of Zhangcha Nursing Home—especially those who have reached the age of 100—though advanced in years, remain vigorous and full of vitality. The elderly participated in activities such as a fashion show and the "Little Apple" dance alongside our company’s employees. Their energy and spirit were truly remarkable, defying their age and reminding us that life is all about staying active and embracing joy. Afterwards, everyone took the time to learn about the elderly’s physical and living conditions, reminding them to keep warm during seasonal changes, pay attention to food hygiene, and ensure their safety when going about their daily activities.
Next, everyone viewed photographs documenting the decades-long activities of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Company at the Zhangcha Nursing Home. These photos vividly illustrated how the company used to organize cultural and recreational events for the elderly during the Double Ninth Festival. Each photograph captures the little bits of effort and dedication that everyone contributed, and each one serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of carrying forward China’s traditional culture of respecting and caring for the elderly.
Let’s foster a culture of respect for the elderly and promote social civility! We hope that through this event, we can further carry forward the traditional virtues of respecting and caring for the elderly cherished by the Chinese nation, enabling seniors to feel the warmth of our larger societal family and enhancing awareness and social responsibility among all sectors of society regarding honoring and respecting the elderly.
