On April 25, 2015, the “2015 Moving Forward—50-Kilometer Walk for Beautiful Foshan” event kicked off joyfully at Qiandeng Lake in Nanhai. Over 40,000 citizens measured the city’s transformation with their footsteps and experienced its remarkable evolution. More than 40 employees from Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group) Co., Ltd. took part in this event.
On April 25, 2015, the “2015 Moving Forward—50-Kilometer Walk for Beautiful Foshan” event kicked off joyfully at Qiandeng Lake in Nanhai. Over 40,000 citizens measured the city’s transformation with their footsteps and experienced its remarkable metamorphosis. More than 40 employees from Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical (Group) Co., Ltd. took part in this event.
This event is organized by the Foshan City Upgrade Office, Foshan Media Group, the Communist Youth League Committee of Foshan City, and the Foshan City Sports Bureau. As soon as the event’s plan was announced, it immediately sparked a surge in registrations across the city—and this enthusiasm quickly spread to our company. “Foshan is so beautiful; I just want to go take a stroll,” our colleagues enthusiastically signed up on their own initiative. Due to the large number of applicants, the company later took charge of organizing the trip in a coordinated manner, with generous sponsorship from the company’s “Next-Generation Development and Public Welfare Fund.”
This event can truly be described as a major highlight for Foshan. On the day of the event, the hiking route was bustling with activity. Among our company’s participants, many were not local residents of Foshan. As they hiked along the route, they had the chance to witness Foshan’s remarkable transformation over the past few years—its streets are clean and well-organized, and daily life has become even more convenient. Everyone now feels much more confident and excited about working and living in Foshan long-term. From Qian Deng Lake Civic Square to Ya Yi Park, from Fo Chen Bridge to Chencun Yudai Park, from Beijiao Junlan Riverside Park to the China-Europe Center in Foshan New City, the 50-kilometer winding trail weaved together breathtakingly beautiful landscapes, presenting to us the charming and diverse charms of Chancheng, Nanhai, Shunde, and Foshan New City.
A 50-kilometer journey is a significant challenge for many people. However, thanks to the strong sports culture within our company, our colleagues generally enjoy good physical fitness, and in the end, nearly half of them completed the entire course.
During this event, everyone not only got some physical exercise but also experienced the city’s transformation and enjoyed a health-filled celebration shared by tens of thousands of people. At the end, everyone couldn’t help but remark: “Foshan is so beautiful— we really should take a stroll around it!”
