From January 23 to 24, 2014, the Siemens Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives Distributor Conference was held in Chengdu, Sichuan. Lin Yi, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., along with Lian Canhuan, General Manager of the Siemens Motor Division of Lingyi Industrial Systems, and Li Jiajun, Deputy Manager; Peng Jinsong, General Manager of Foshan Zhengyi Automation Co., Ltd., and Guo Qi, Assistant to the General Manager; and Yu Yang, General Manager of Dongguan Shangling Automation Co., Ltd.—a total of six individuals—were invited to attend the conference. On the afternoon of January 22, prior to the official start of the conference, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. organized a tour for the attendees to visit the Siemens Chengdu plant, which has been recognized as “Europe’s Best Factory.”

On the afternoon of January 22, before the official start of the conference, Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. organized a tour for the attendees to visit Siemens’ Chengdu plant—a sister facility to Siemens’ Amberg plant in Germany, which has been recognized as “Europe’s Best Factory.” As part of Siemens’ global strategy, the Chengdu plant plays a pivotal role in the entire lifecycle of Siemens’ global industrial automation products—from R&D to manufacturing. The plant has fully digitized its operations across all stages, including management, product R&D, production, and logistics distribution, and is interconnected with data systems linked to its German production site and its U.S. R&D center.
On January 23, the 2014 Siemens Digital Factory and Process Industries & Drives Distributor Conference, themed “The Wisdom of Channel Strategies, the Art of Winning,” officially kicked off. Wang Haibin, Executive Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd., introduced Siemens’ robust product and system strengths in the industrial manufacturing sector, drawing on the concept of Industry 4.0. He also provided an overview of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd.’s channel business performance in 2014. In addition, various Business Units under Siemens (China) Co., Ltd.’s Digital Factory Group and Process Industries & Drives Group separately presented their distribution policies and product strategies for the fiscal year 2014/15.
At the award ceremony that evening, Dongguan Shangling Automation Co., Ltd., a ZeroOne Industrial Systems partner, was honored with the “Best Customer Service Distributor in South China Award” for its outstanding customer service performance.
At the conference on January 24, Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., as one of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd.’s most important partners nationwide, participated in a VIP meeting chaired by Lin Bin, Executive Vice President of Siemens (China) Co., Ltd. During the meeting, our company’s representatives actively shared their views on current licensing and business issues as well as sales coordination challenges within Siemens’ operations.
At each distributor conference held by Siemens, a charitable donation drive is organized to support the education of students from impoverished mountainous regions. At this year’s conference, Lin Yi, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., donated 10,000 yuan on behalf of his company to help nine students, ranking third in terms of donation amount. With this, the 2014 Siemens Digital Factory, Process Industries, and Drives Distributor Conference has come to a successful conclusion.
