    At 4:00 p.m. on September 14, 2014, the Foshan Lingnan Mingzhu Gymnasium hosted the opening match of the 2014 “Zero One Science and Technology Park Cup” China-Jordan International Men’s Basketball Challenge—Foshan leg. This game marked the Chinese national basketball team’s final warm-up before the Incheon Asian Games, which were set to begin on September 19. The venue drew over a thousand fans who came to watch the match. The Chinese team fielded a lineup of young players, including Zhou Qi, Wang Zhelin, Guo Ailun, and Li Muhao. After nearly two hours of intense competition, the Chinese team emerged victorious over Jordan with a score of 91:66. Thus, despite the absence of veteran players such as Yi Jianlian and Zhu Fangyu, the young Chinese men’s basketball team concluded the China-Jordan series with a perfect 3-0 record.

    The Foshan stop of this Chinese men’s basketball tournament is exclusively sponsored by the Lingyi Science and Technology Park project of Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical (Group). Prior to the official competition, at 10:00 a.m. on September 14, the press conference for the “Lingyi Science and Technology Park” Cup China-Jordan International Men’s Basketball Challenge was held at the Marketing Center of Lingyi Science and Technology Park, located in Zone C of the European Industrial Park in Foshan. Attending the press conference were Hao Guohua, head of the Chinese national basketball team; Wei Qiweng, Director of the Foshan Municipal Bureau of Culture and Sports; Lei Yuqiang, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Real Estate Co., Ltd.; Chinese team players Liu Xiaoyu, Tao Hanlin, and Xu Zhonghao; as well as the Jordanian team’s coach and players. Hao Guohua, the team leader, stated that the Chinese team’s goal for the Asian Games is to win the gold medal. Director Wei Qiweng and General Manager Lei Yuqiang both expressed their best wishes for the complete success of this China-Jordan International Men’s Basketball Challenge and wished the Chinese team well in achieving its Asian Games objective.
    Located in Zone C of the European Industrial Park in Zhangcha Subdistrict, “Zero One Science and Technology Park” is the flagship project of Zero One Real Estate Company, a subsidiary of Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical (Group), in the Foshan region.
