On January 13, 2014, the second Employee Sports Meet of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. was solemnly opened at the gymnasium of Foshan Institute of Science and Technology. The preliminary rounds of basketball, badminton, and table tennis competitions were held one after another, and by January 21, the preliminary rounds of all competition events had been completed. In the afternoon of January 24, the second Employee Sports Meet’s Fun Games, final rounds of various events, and closing ceremony were grandly held.
On January 13, 2014, the second Employee Games of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. kicked off with great fanfare at the gymnasium of Foshan Institute of Science and Technology. The preliminary rounds of basketball, badminton, and table tennis competitions were held one after another, and by January 21, the preliminary stages of all events had been completed. In the afternoon of January 24, the second Employee Games featured a lively Fun Sports Day, final competitions for various events, and a grand closing ceremony.
To boost participation among employees and their family members, this year’s sports event has added a fun sports competition and a push-up contest. On the afternoon of January 24, more than 250 employees and their family members attended the fun sports competition. Participants took part in activities such as basketball shooting, jump rope, three-legged race, back-to-back balloon bursting, mung bean pinching, and pull-ups. Everyone enjoyed the games, relishing the time together in a relaxed and leisurely atmosphere. Joy and happiness were evident on every face.
After the fun sports meet concluded, everyone headed into the gymnasium’s indoor arena to watch the basketball finals, the push-up competition, and the tug-of-war contest. The intense and thrilling competitions drew waves of cheers and screams from the spectators present. Among them, the tug-of-war was especially heart-stirring—many spectators even stood up from their seats and moved forward to the perimeter line to watch the action closely, cheering loudly for the competing teams. The scene was truly breathtaking.
Immediately after all the competitions concluded, the award ceremony for both the fun sports events and the official competition events was held. Sixteen company leaders presented awards to the relevant individuals and teams. Many employees and their family members received prizes and cash rewards, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. Finally, Mr. Lin Yi, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., delivered a closing speech at the employee games. In his speech, Mr. Lin expressed his appreciation for this year’s games and shared his hopes for the next edition. He acknowledged the athletes’ participation and dedication, and extended heartfelt gratitude to the employees and their families for their support of the games. With the words, “I hereby declare the Second Employee Games of Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Company closed,” accompanied by the sound of celebratory fireworks, the second employee games came to a successful close.
This year’s Games have consistently upheld the principle of “Friendship First, Competition Second,” aiming to encourage more employees and their families to participate, enhance everyone’s physical fitness, boost work efficiency, and improve overall quality of life. With the holding of the second Employee Games, we believe that a new wave of enthusiasm for sports and exercise will once again sweep through the company. “I exercise, I stay healthy, I feel happy”—we hope that everyone can reap health and happiness through sports!
