Losing isn't a defeat—striving with all your might is the right path—our company is participating in the 2nd Foshan High-tech Zone Corporate Basketball Tournament.

On June 26, 2014, the second Corporate Basketball Tournament of Foshan High-Tech Zone kicked off at the South China Electric Light Source Innovation Center. This year’s tournament was organized by the Foshan High-Tech Zone Chamber of Commerce. Companies in the High-Tech Zone showed great enthusiasm for participation, with a total of 20 corporate teams registering to compete. The tournament was divided into four groups, and the group stage adopted a round-robin elimination format of “5 advancing to 2.”

Companies in the High-Tech Zone showed great enthusiasm for participation, with a total of 20 corporate teams registering to compete. The tournament was divided into four groups, and the group stage adopted a round-robin elimination format of “5 advancing to 2.”
Our company organized a team of 12 members to participate in the competition. To foster team cohesion, the company arranged practice matches prior to the tournament. All team members took these practices seriously and, in addition to attending the practice sessions, they also stepped up their physical training. From June 26 to July 21, our team faced off against Hua Xin Wei Te, Ying Jin Dyeing & Weaving, Zhong Ying Electronics, and Lan Jian Electronics. In the four matches, we secured two victories by large margins and suffered two narrow defeats, ultimately being eliminated in the group stage. Looking back at the two matches we lost, the main issues our team encountered were inconsistent performance and insufficient stamina. Moreover, the opposing teams’ players were generally younger than ours, giving them an edge in both physical endurance and overall performance, which enabled them to narrowly outperform us in the scorelines.
Although our team lost the match, we earned the respect of our opponents. We fought aggressively, striving to score on every offensive opportunity; we defended diligently, doing our utmost to minimize our opponents’ scoring chances; and we battled with all our might, maintaining an unwavering determination both in favorable and challenging circumstances. Losing doesn’t mean defeat—fighting with all your heart is the right path. During the competition, we witnessed the players’ tenacious and proactive spirit, showcasing both style and excellence. We look forward to our team achieving even better results in the next competition.
