On June 14, a social practice activity themed “Southern Newsboy: Little Ones Take Charge,” jointly organized by Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group) and the Southern Media Group, was held at the Zero One Technology Industrial Park.
That day happened to coincide with the “Zero One Science and Technology Park (Zhengda Machinery & Electronics) Cup 2014 Zhangcha Subdistrict Dragon Boat Race.” To provide the on-site spectators attending the dragon boat race with a brand-new experience, Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electronics (Group) organized nearly 40 children aged 5 to 12 to conduct newspaper-selling activities at the event venue. Although it was midday and the sun was blazing, the children were all highly enthusiastic and unusually excited. After about an hour and a half of selling, they managed to sell a total of approximately 800 newspapers.
As one of the many annual activities organized by the “Next-Generation Cultivation Fund” of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group), this “Father’s Day” community service event is sponsored by the “Next-Generation Cultivation Fund.” On that day, in addition to the “Southern Newsboy—Little Ones Take Charge” activity, to celebrate the upcoming Father’s Day on June 15, the company also specially collaborated with the Southern Media Group to launch a special event titled “A Letter to Dad.”
The company is organizing this event for three main purposes: First, to enhance the social experiences of the children of our employees and encourage them to practice communicating with strangers; second, to help them learn gratitude and gain a deeper understanding of how challenging it is for their parents to work; and third, given the growing popularity of digital correspondence, fewer people today write letters by hand. By having the children personally write letters this time, we aim to strengthen the emotional bond and communication between children and their parents.
During this event, Lin Shengwei, the child who won first place in on-site sales, said that he really enjoyed the activity. It not only provided him with valuable social experience and helped enhance his communication skills, but also taught him how to interact with strangers and hone his sales techniques, further deepening his emotional connection with his parents.
