The “Zero One Science and Technology Park (Zhengda Machinery & Electronics) Cup” 2014 Zhangcha Subdistrict Dragon Boat Race Was Held in Grand Style.

On the afternoon of June 14, the 2014 Zhangcha Subdistrict Dragon Boat Race—the “Lingyi Science and Technology Park (Zhengda Machinery & Electronics) Cup”—sponsored exclusively by Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electronics (Group), was grandly held along the Fenjiang River, in Section C of the European Industrial Park. A total of 39 outstanding dragon boat teams participated in the race, drawing tens of thousands of enthusiastic spectators. This event greatly enriched the spiritual and cultural lives of the local residents and vividly embodied the spirit of our times: "unity and collaboration, striving for excellence, and pioneering advancement." The venue for this year’s competition—a stretch of embankment in Jiangbin Park, Section C of the European Industrial Park on the Fenjiang River—has been designated as a model project for the revitalization of riverside landscapes, receiving key renovation efforts from both the Chancheng District and Zhangcha Subdistrict governments.

A total of 39 outstanding dragon boat teams participated, drawing tens of thousands of enthusiastic spectators and greatly enriching the spiritual and cultural lives of the local residents. The event also vividly showcased the spirit of the times—“unity and collaboration, striving for excellence, and pioneering advancement.”
The venue for this event—the embankment section of Jiangbin Park in Zone C of the European Industrial Park along the Fenjiang River—is a flagship project for upgrading riverside landscapes, which has received key attention and renovation from both the Chancheng District and Zhangcha Subdistrict governments. This beautifully landscaped urban park will further enhance Zhangcha’s soft power and meet the ecological, recreational, and sports needs of nearby residents.
At 2 p.m., under the bright sunshine, more than ten strong men simultaneously waved their hands from Guanlong Platform in Section C of the European Industrial Park along the Fenjiang River, while gongs and drums sounded in unison, creating an exceptionally lively atmosphere. Before the race began, leaders and guests—including Lei Yuqiang, General Manager of Guangdong Zero One Real Estate Company—performed the traditional “dotting of the eyes” ceremony on the dragon boats that were about to set off. Once the race started, the members of the 39 participating teams lined up neatly along the river, shouting in unison and sprinting with all their might, earning round after round of enthusiastic applause.
The dragon boat race has become a bond that brings together people from all walks of life in Zhangcha, fostering closer relationships and strengthening camaraderie. Meanwhile, prior to the start of the dragon boat race, the Zhangcha Subdistrict organized a visit for over a hundred entrepreneurs and heads of various industrial parks to tour Zhangcha’s themed parks. The parks are meticulously planned and well-organized, with impressive results in attracting investment and showing robust business performance—clearly demonstrating the strength of Zhangcha’s economy. Wang Zhenghu, President of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics (Group) Co., Ltd., remarked that Zhangcha boasts such a wealth of commercial platforms, offering visitors an extraordinary feast for the eyes and broadening their horizons. He also expressed his determination to build Zero One Science and Technology Park into a world-class, nationally leading science and technology park.
The Lingyi Technology Industrial Park (Zhengda Machinery & Electronics), located adjacent to the riverside park, offers stunning views of the waterfront and access to the park’s amenities. It is the first integrated project in Zone C of the European Industrial Park, featuring a diverse range of property types—including headquarters buildings, high-end office towers, residential apartments, and commercial centers. The park is set to become a premier corporate headquarters base and an entrepreneurial platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, integrating industry, R&D, technology, finance, and incubation services. It will also serve as a model integrated complex in Zone C, seamlessly blending smart office spaces, upscale residential apartments, comprehensive supporting services, and dining and leisure facilities. The Lingyi Technology Industrial Park is scheduled to officially go on sale this August.
