Pushing Beyond Limits, Building Team Cohesion—A Hiking Trip to Tongtian Candle Mountain in Conghua, Foshan City, Organized by Zhengyi Automation Co., Ltd.

To promote employees’ physical health, liven up the company atmosphere, and strengthen team cohesion, on April 19, 2014, Foshan Zhengyi Automation Co., Ltd. organized a hiking excursion to Tongtian Candle Mountain in Conghua for its employees. The event was assisted and planned by Foshan Tusheng Outdoor Sports Club—the most professional outdoor activities organization in Foshan. Led by General Manager Peng Jinsong, nearly 30 colleagues participated in this activity.
To promote employees’ physical health, liven up the company atmosphere, and strengthen team cohesion, on April 19, 2014, Foshan Zhengyi Automation Co., Ltd. organized a hiking excursion to Tongtian Candle Mountain in Conghua for its employees. The event was assisted and planned by Foshan Tusheng Outdoor Sports Club—the most professional outdoor activities organization in Foshan. Led by General Manager Peng Jinsong, nearly 30 colleagues participated in this activity.
Tongtian Candle Mountain in Conghua is a pristine mountain forest. At the summit, azaleas bloom profusely across the hillsides, and from afar, they resemble clusters of “candles,” earning the mountain its beautiful nickname, “Tongtian Candle Mountain.” However, this place is not a tourist attraction; rather, it’s a hiking trail developed by “backpackers” from all over the country. The round-trip hike covers about 14 kilometers and typically takes around seven hours—about two hours for the round trip itself, with roughly five hours spent climbing. The trail features rugged terrain and steep slopes, making it a true mountain-climbing experience. For colleagues who rarely get any exercise in their daily lives, this hike presents quite a challenge. Many of them arrived at the starting point already burdened down with heavy packs.
After more than three hours of driving, everyone arrived at the trailhead at 10 a.m. As they took in the pristine natural surroundings and eagerly anticipated the breathtaking view of “candles” covering the mountaintop, it seemed as though everyone had shed their previous burdens, mustered up their courage, and set off toward the summit, determined to push beyond their own limits.
Thanks to the tour leader of the Tucson Club who had earlier explained in detail the precautions and relevant matters for hiking and mountain climbing, everyone managed to complete the first half of the trail relatively smoothly. However, as the slope became steeper and the mountain path increasingly treacherous, some colleagues began to turn back, feeling the challenge too great. At that moment, the tour leader and each group leader kept encouraging those who were physically exhausted and cheering up those whose energy was nearing its limit. As the saying goes, “The higher you climb, the more beautiful the view; the greater the hardship, the greater the reward.” In the end, nearly 20 colleagues pushed beyond their limits and successfully reached the summit, where they were greeted by rhododendrons blooming across the hills and an endless panorama of breathtaking scenery.
Through this event, colleagues from Foshan Zhengyi Automation Co., Ltd. had the opportunity to get some exercise, strengthen communication with one another, and enhance team cohesion. The company will regularly organize similar activities to keep the company vibrant and ultimately improve employees’ work and life quality.
