Donating to Education, Passing on Kindness—A Report on the Heartwarming Activities of the “Next Generation and Cultivation & Public Welfare Fund” in Qingyuan, Guangdong, and Yingshang, Anhui

In January 2013, the “Next Generation Cultivation and Public Welfare Fund” of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. arranged for some employees’ family members and children to visit Wudong Primary School in Lidong Town, Xinxing County, Yunfu City, where they participated in charitable donations and exchange activities. To carry forward the tradition of kindness established by the “Next Generation Cultivation and Public Welfare Fund” and bring care and warmth to schools and children in impoverished areas, on January 18–19, 2014, the fund organized more than 50 employees’ family members and children to visit Wangbu Town, Yingde City, Qingyuan, where they engaged in charitable donations and experienced rural life.

| In January 2013, the “Next-Generation Cultivation and Public Welfare Fund” of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. arranged for some employees’ family members and children to visit Wudong Primary School in Lidong Town, Xinxing County, Yunfu City, where they participated in charitable donations and exchange activities. To carry forward the caring tradition of the “Next Generation Cultivation and Public Welfare Fund” and bring love and warmth to schools and children in impoverished areas, on January 18–19, 2014, the “Next Generation Cultivation and Public Welfare Fund” organized more than 50 employees’ family members and children to visit Wangbu Town, Yingde City, Qingyuan, where they participated in charitable donations and farm-stay activities. On Saturday, January 18, at 8:00 a.m., 27 children who had just entered winter vacation, accompanied by their parents and staff members, set off from Foshan. They carried with them a large quantity of school supplies, books, computers, and other items for elementary school students. Traveling via expressways, national highways, provincial roads, and rugged rural paths, the group arrived at their first destination—Wenli Primary School in Wangbu Town, Yingde City—after more than three hours. There, they donated supplies and cash to 10 children in need and to Wenli Primary School itself. They also toured the classrooms and learning facilities at Wenli Primary School and participated in interactive games with the school’s students. Afterwards, the children and their parents split into three groups and visited the homes of the three families receiving assistance. Following the home-visiting activity, to give the children of employees a more hands-on experience of rural life, all the children and their parents were divided into eight groups and each group visited the homes of eight classmates from relatively well-off families. There, they engaged in one-on-one “hand-in-hand, getting close to nature” activities. Together with their peers and parents from Wenli Primary School, the participants went to the students’ homes to gain firsthand insights into their living environments. They joined their hosts, equipped themselves with farming tools, and ventured into the village and fields to learn about various trees, fruits, vegetables, and other local crops. At the same time, they took part in farm chores such as watering plants, picking vegetables, and feeding chickens. In the late afternoon, everyone returned to their paired classmates’ homes, where they worked together—using their own hands—to light fires, boil water, stir-fry dishes, and cook rice. Through this collaborative effort, they demonstrated solidarity and mutual support, ultimately preparing a delicious dinner that was the result of their own hard work (the related expenses were covered by the “Next Generation Cultivation Fund”). After dinner, the children also helped wash dishes and clean up the premises before returning to their accommodations in Yingde City. On the morning of January 19, all participants gathered at a park in Yingde County, where staff members conducted an interactive lecture on safety and wilderness survival skills for the children. With this, the donation-based education support and farm experience activity came to a successful conclusion. Everyone happily boarded the bus and returned to Foshan. Meanwhile, from January 18 to 19—also continuing the activities initiated in 2013—the “Next-Generation Cultivation and Public Welfare Fund” organized four children of its employees to travel from the company’s headquarters in Foshan to the Social Welfare Institute in Yingshang County, Anhui Province, where they carried out a donation drive for disadvantaged and disabled children in the local community. The four employee children who participated in the activity gained a deep understanding of the hardships faced by disadvantaged and disabled children in impoverished areas, as well as the preciousness of their own happy lives. |
