Interactive Development, Moving Forward by Leveraging Strengths—Our Company’s Leaders Visit Singapore and Malaysia for Inspection and Study

Introduction: In his "Encouragement of Learning," Xunzi said, "Those who borrow carriages and horses do not necessarily have faster feet, yet they can travel a thousand miles; those who borrow boats and oars do not necessarily know how to swim, yet they can cross rivers and seas. The noble person is not inherently different from others—rather, it is because he knows how to make good use of external resources." This passage illustrates the principle of "borrowing" or "leveraging"—to achieve success, one must be adept at drawing on the strengths of others. On the path of exploring interactive and integrated development for industrial parks, Guangdong Zero One Real Estate Co., Ltd. is moving forward by "leveraging external forces." On the path of exploring interactive and integrated development in industrial parks, Guangdong Zero One Real Estate Co., Ltd. is moving forward by “leveraging external forces.” From January 9 to 12, 2014, a group of nine members from the design and management team of Zero One Industrial Park, led by Mr. Lei Yuqiang, General Manager of Guangdong Zero One Real Estate Co., Ltd., visited Singapore and Malaysia for an inspection and study tour. This visit and study tour received strong support and assistance from the Economic Promotion Bureau of Chancheng District, Foshan City; Jurong Company of Singapore; CPG Architects & Engineers of Singapore; and Country Garden Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. of Johor Bahru, Malaysia. On the morning of January 10, Ms. Xu Feng, Senior Manager at Jurong Company in Singapore, and Ms. Guo Zhiwei, Manager, warmly welcomed our delegation of nine leaders and accompanied us on a tour of the Jurong Island Science Park (including Qiaoao Biomedical Park, Qihui Park, and Media Industrial Park). The Jurong Island Science Park is Singapore’s first integrated project that seamlessly combines work, living, leisure, and learning. During the tour, Ms. Guo Zhiwei provided a detailed introduction to the planning concepts, architectural designs, environmental protection and energy-saving measures, and park management strategies of the three major zones within the Jurong Island Science Park. She also shared information about investment promotion efforts and operational details of the companies currently located in the park. From what we saw on-site, the entire park boasts forward-looking planning and beautifully arranged buildings. Each building is connected to others via pedestrian bridges, fully demonstrating a human-centered design philosophy. The park’s green spaces are lush and verdant, its roads are clean and well-maintained, and vehicular traffic flows smoothly and orderly. The office environments are elegant and welcoming. The Jurong Island Science Park vividly showcases Singapore’s remarkable achievements in knowledge- and innovation-intensive economic sectors. It has become a vibrant innovation hub that brings together R&D, innovation, and experimental platforms under one roof. Here, work, study, living, and leisure truly achieve “integration.” Moreover, the interconnectedness among buildings provides inspiration for outstanding scientists, researchers, and tech entrepreneurs from around the world. After the tour, both sides agreed to strengthen communication and cooperation in areas such as industrial park planning concepts, architectural design, and park management. In the afternoon, at the invitation of Mr. Li Shuqun, Vice President of Singapore’s CPG Architects & Engineers, a delegation of nine members from our company—including our senior management—visited CPG’s headquarters building in Novena, Singapore. After listening to a briefing on the company’s ongoing projects, both sides engaged in an exchange of views on topics such as modern park planning, architectural design, and environmental protection and energy conservation in Singapore. Following the meeting, Mr. Su Zhenzhong, the company’s project manager, accompanied the group on a tour of several CPG-designed projects in Singapore, including the Changi Industrial Park, the Frasers Tower Business City, and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. At the conclusion of the tour, everyone sincerely expressed their admiration for Singapore’s status as an international metropolis, noting that its industrial park planning and design, environmental protection and energy efficiency, landscape gardening, and park management all set it apart as a global leader among similar industrial parks—truly a paragon in the industrial park sector. Subsequently, a delegation of nine members, including our company’s leaders, also visited Marina Bay Sands—a world-class urban landmark in Singapore—and Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, which is home to Country Garden’s largest residential project within the Iskandar Special Economic Zone. After four days of observation and study, we’ve gained a profound impression of the planning, construction, and development of Singapore’s industrial parks. The learning outcomes have been rich and diverse, with wide-ranging applications and implications. These insights provide crucial reference and guiding principles for the innovative development, management, and service provision of modern industrial parks. We hope to leverage Singapore’s advanced experiences—ranging from its modern park development concepts and architectural designs to its industrial planning and park management practices—to inform our ongoing Zero One Industrial Park project. Our goal is to transform Zero One Industrial Park into a modern, intelligent park in Chancheng District, thereby contributing to the upgrading of industrial parks in Chancheng District, Foshan City. Ultimately, we aim to establish Zero One Industrial Park as a comprehensive corporate headquarters base and an entrepreneurial platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, integrating industry, R&D, technology, finance, and incubation services, and thus creating real value for our clients. |
