Campus recruitment has always been an important strategy and means for companies to reserve and develop talent. Since October, Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. has adopted a talent strategy focused on "selecting and cultivating elite personnel." As part of this strategy, the company’s Human Resources Department has launched the 2014 Campus Recruitment Program, themed “Setting Sail with Dreams.” The program’s main objective is to recruit high-quality graduates specializing in sales and technology from select key universities across the country, providing them with intensive training and development over the next three to five years, thereby turning them into the driving force behind the company’s future strategic initiatives.
On Friday, November 1, a group of eight members from the Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Company’s recruitment team traveled to South China University of Technology to conduct a recruitment presentation. Approximately 300 recent graduates attended the session. Upon inquiry, we learned that in addition to graduates from South China University of Technology, students from other prestigious universities also participated—and some even came from as far away as Zhanjiang, Zhuhai, and Dongguan to attend our company’s presentation.
The briefing session kicked off with an inspiring presentation titled “Choose CP Group—Your Dream Takes Off,” delivered by Zhao Haijun, Director of Human Resources at the company. The presentation covered several key aspects, including an introduction to the company, highlights of its employees, and guidance on job applications. As a result, the students in attendance gained a deeper understanding of CP Group’s current status, strategic direction, talent criteria, and employee benefits. Following that, Tang Yanping, General Manager of the Domestic Motor Division of the supporting company, gave a keynote speech entitled “Choosing Is More Important Than Working Hard.” Drawing on her own personal growth journey, Ms. Tang emphasized the significance of making the right career and industry choices, and she convincingly demonstrated to the students why choosing CP Group’s Mechanical & Electrical Division was the right decision for her. Her vivid and engaging talk earned enthusiastic applause from the students. Afterwards, Lian Canhuan, General Manager of the Siemens Motor Division of the supporting company, Guo Qi, Assistant General Manager of Foshan CP Group Automation Co., Ltd., and the two aforementioned speakers provided insightful answers to questions raised live by the attending students. The students were highly enthusiastic, and the atmosphere at the event was exceptionally lively. Some students even received company gifts as rewards for their active participation.
On that day, there was also a resume submission and written test session. More than 250 students submitted their resumes and took part in the on-site written test.
On Sunday, November 3, after carefully screening the applicants based on their academic backgrounds, practical experience, personal career aspirations, and written-test scores, a panel of senior executives once again visited South China University of Technology to conduct initial interviews with approximately 150 students. Most of the students demonstrated qualities that closely matched the requirements of the positions they were applying for, which gave us a strong sense of the high overall competence of the graduating candidates.
After the initial screening, there will be two more rounds of interviews by mid-November. We are confident that, through a comprehensive assessment and evaluation across all stages, the Human Resources Department and the various hiring departments will be able to identify outstanding graduates who are well-suited to the company’s development strategy, thereby laying a solid talent foundation for the smooth achievement of the company’s strategic goals.
