General Manager Lin first reviewed the company’s sales data for the past five years and analyzed the reasons behind the discrepancies between the sales budget and actual performance. On this basis, he clearly outlined two key principles for formulating the 2013 sales budget: First, a bottom-up approach that involves analyzing and forecasting based on products, regions, industries, supplier strategies, marketing strategies, key financial indicators, projections of financing needs, and key performance indicators for the team; second, a top-down approach guided by customer orientation and anchored in product lines, with budget allocations distributed among existing customers, potential customers, and target customers. General Manager Lin then announced the company’s sales targets for the next three years, stating that the company plans to achieve RMB 2 billion in sales revenue by 2015. In addition, General Manager Lin systematically analyzed and clarified the key strategic priorities for each subsidiary’s operations in 2013. Following this, General Manager Lin provided detailed explanations of the specific contents and completion methods for the more than 20 forms that must be filled out during the sales budget process. Furthermore, General Manager Lin emphasized that, throughout the implementation of the 2013 sales budget, business operation analysis meetings will be held every quarter as a means of dynamic monitoring and tracking. That evening, a panel discussion centered on the 2013 sales budget helped everyone gain a deeper understanding of the direction and methods for developing sales budgets. On the morning of the third day, after each group presented its findings from the previous evening’s discussion, General Manager Lin Yi provided comments on each group’s report. In the afternoon of the third day, Manager Ye Xiaohong from the Marketing Department launched the group’s electronic magazine. Following that, President Wang Zhenghu of the Group delivered an important speech titled “A Retrospective on CPME’s 15th Anniversary.” In his heartfelt remarks, President Wang vividly reviewed CPME’s 15-year development journey and outlined the company’s mission, vision, values, business objectives, and strategic direction—preliminarily defined during Guangdong Zero One Company’s two strategic meetings. After an interactive session with the participants, President Wang Zhenghu shared four famous quotes by Bill Gates as a source of inspiration for everyone. The four quotes from Gates are as follows: 1. “Society is full of inequalities. Don’t try to change it just yet—first, learn to adapt to it.” 2. “The world won’t care about your self-esteem; all people see are your accomplishments. Before you’ve achieved anything significant, don’t place too much emphasis on self-esteem.” 3. “When you’re stuck in a difficult situation, don’t complain—quietly draw lessons from it instead.” 4. “Schools have holidays, but working at a company isn’t like that—you’ll hardly ever get a break, and it’s rare to enjoy a truly relaxed holiday.” With this, the official agenda of today’s meeting came to a successful conclusion. During the three-day training, meetings, and discussions, participants fully realized that the company—whether in terms of management or business development—is moving toward greater clarity and standardization. Everyone deepened their understanding and acceptance of the company’s strategy and direction, and became even more convinced that as long as they stay closely aligned with the company’s development path and make continuous, persistent efforts, they will surely achieve a win-win situation for both themselves and the company. We believe that under the wise leadership of the company’s management, all employees will surely usher in an even brighter tomorrow and smoothly achieve the company’s 2013 sales targets. |
