On the morning of September 4, 2012, to fully support the implementation of Foshan City’s “Strengthen the Center” strategy and the optimization and upgrading of its industrial structure, and further carry out the deployment of industrial chain investment promotion in Chancheng District, the groundbreaking ceremony for Zone C of the Foshan High-tech Zone European Industrial Park—the Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Equipment Industrial Park—was solemnly held at the Foshan European Industrial Park.
The leaders and guests attending the groundbreaking ceremony included Mr. Huang Qinghua, a member of the Standing Committee of the Zen District Party Committee; Mr. Hu Anquan, Director of the Zhangcha Subdistrict Office, and other government officials; Mr. Nong Keqiang, Vice President of Siemens (China); Mr. Yuan Kai, General Manager of the Mechanical Transmission Division within Siemens’ Industrial Business Unit Drive Technology Group in China; Mr. Mai Dazhang, Chairman of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd.; Mr. Wang Zhenghu, President of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd.; Mr. Lin Yi, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd.; Mr. Lei Yuqiang, Assistant to the President of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd.; as well as leaders from relevant government departments, customer representatives, supplier representatives, senior and middle-level company executives, and employee representatives—altogether numbering over 120 people.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, leaders including Lin Yi, General Manager; Hu Anquan, Director; and Huang Qinghua, Member of the Standing Committee, each delivered a speech. Amidst the joyful atmosphere marked by music, booming cannon fire, and the lively dance of a lion, government officials, Siemens guests, and senior company executives jointly cut the ceremonial ribbon and laid the foundation stone for the Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical Industry Park project.
Before the groundbreaking ceremony for the industrial park project of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd., company leaders were invited to attend the “Launch Ceremony for Key Industrial Projects in Chancheng District and Signing Ceremony for Financial Cooperation” held in Foshan. Prior to the signing ceremony, Foshan Mayor Liu Yuelun, Chancheng District Chief Liu Donghao, and other leaders had a cordial meeting with Mr. Nong Keqiang, Vice President of Siemens (China), Mr. He Yuankai, General Manager, as well as Mr. Mai Dazhang, Chairman of the Board, Mr. Wang Zhenghu, President, and Mr. Lin Yi, General Manager of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd.
At the “Launch Ceremony for Key Industrial Projects in Chancheng District and Signing Ceremony for Financial Cooperation,” Secretary Qu Bangmin of the Chancheng District Committee, Director Yang Zijiang of the Guangdong Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, and Mayor Liu Yuelun of Foshan City each delivered keynote speeches. Secretary Qu Bangmin took Guangzhou’s Tianhe District, Shenzhen’s Luohu District, and Singapore as examples, offering a forward-looking vision and outlining Chancheng District’s future development strategies and goals. In his speech, Mayor Liu Yuelun emphasized that “Chancheng must not only avoid holding the city back but also take the lead in driving Foshan’s development.” He encouraged the Chancheng District government to steadily advance urban and industrial upgrades, adopt an international perspective when planning for the future, and attract top-tier projects. He proposed the nine-character guideline—“Aim high, think broadly, act decisively”—to inspire and motivate the government officials and business representatives present, urging them to strive for development not only for enterprises but also for Chancheng and Foshan itself.
The Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd. Industrial Park, whose foundation was laid on that day, is a key project for Foshan City’s entry into European industrial parks in 2012. The project covers a total area of 25 mu and will serve as the future headquarters building for Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical Co., Ltd., as well as a center for the manufacturing and R&D of industrial control systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, and a trade and logistics hub. In addition, the industrial park plans to attract assembly, maintenance, and after-sales service projects from international equipment brands such as Siemens, SKF, and Atlas. The total investment in the industrial park is estimated at 250 million yuan, primarily funded by the company’s own capital.
“Forge a great enterprise for enduring prosperity through the ages, and unfold an even greater vision to achieve renewed glory!” Next, Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group) Co., Ltd. will continue to increase its financial investment to ensure the smooth progress of the industrial park’s construction. At the same time, we will proactively conduct thorough market research in the early stages of attracting investors to the industrial park, striving to establish a new operational model for the park. We will refine our management mechanisms, enhance our management standards, and actively implement a headquarters economy strategy. In doing so, we aim to repay the care and support from governments at all levels, as well as our numerous customers and suppliers, and make positive contributions to the revitalization of Foshan’s economy and the advancement of society!
