Sunshine Saves Hearts, Happiness Walks Together —— Annual Report and Charity Gala of the 9th Service Team of Guangdong Provincial Red Cross Entrepreneur Members

On August 26, 2012, Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group) Co., Ltd. was invited to attend the annual summary and report meeting of the Guangdong Red Cross Society’s Entrepreneurial Members’ Corps. The event, which also served as the anniversary celebration and charity gala for the Ninth Service Team of the Guangdong Red Cross Society’s Entrepreneurial Members’ Service Corps, brought together over 1,000 participants, including representatives from more than 300 enterprises, caring members of the public, and volunteers. Mr. Tang Yunliang, our company’s Human Resources Manager, and I personally attended the gala, which was held at the Marriott Ballroom on the fourth floor of the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Foshan. During the charity gala and report meeting of the Guangdong Red Cross Society’s Entrepreneurial Members’ Corps, the work of the Ninth Service Team over the past year was summarized and reviewed. In total, the team received donations from 366 individuals, amounting to 4.046 million yuan. These funds were successfully used to treat over 100 cases of congenital heart disease—each successful treatment has effectively relieved the burden on more than 100 families, vividly demonstrating how benefactors from all sectors in Foshan have spread the power of love through the Ninth Service Team. The charity auction held during the gala was the highlight of the event. Guests enthusiastically raised their bidding cards to participate in the auction of art pieces, ultimately raising an impressive 4.452 million yuan in charitable donations! The auction continued until 10:30 p.m., and among the more than 1,000 guests and volunteers present, almost no one left early, fully reflecting the kindness and strong support that the people of Foshan have shown toward public welfare causes. Attending this heartwarming gala deeply moved me, and I was particularly touched by the strong support that our company’s leadership has consistently given to public welfare initiatives. During the auction, Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group) Co., Ltd. won a remarkable artwork titled “Keeping Pace with the Times” in the third round of bidding! Our company’s commitment to public welfare is precisely an embodiment of our corporate culture—a spirit of giving back to society.
