Break Through Yourself and Rise to the Challenge—A Summary Meeting for Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. on the First Half of 2012

On July 15, Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Zhengda Machinery & Electrical (Group) Company, held its first-half 2012 business summary meeting on the beautiful “Ludao”—Xiamen. A total of 53 people attended the meeting, including general managers of Lingyi’s four systems—Support Systems, Automation Systems, Xinshang Systems, and Mechanical & Transmission Systems—as well as branch office directors and business representatives. The meeting was held at the Minnan Hotel in Xiamen, and was chaired by Ms. Ye Xiaohong, Manager of the Marketing Department of the Supporting Systems Company. The meeting began with a summary report titled “Break Through Yourself and Rise to Challenges,” delivered by Mr. Lin Yi, General Manager of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. In his report, Mr. Lin analyzed data on product sales and profits for Lingyi’s four major systems, comparing them with the same period last year. He highlighted that despite an unfavorable economic environment this year, the company still achieved higher sales performance compared to the previous year. He also pointed out various business challenges faced by each system in the first half of the year and encouraged everyone to break through their own limitations, rise to challenges, identify the root causes of declining profits, optimize inventory management, strictly manage accounts receivable, and strengthen the sales team. Following Mr. Lin’s report, the general managers of Lingyi’s top-performing units from the first half—Dongguan Lingyi CNC Company, the Shunde Supporting Branch, and the Siemens Motor Division—each shared their companies’ and departments’ first-half achievements and outlined their plans for the second half. At the end of the morning session, President Wang Zhenghu of the (Group) Company provided additional explanations and comments on questions raised during the meeting and offered an analysis of today’s economic environment. In the afternoon, participants broke into smaller groups to discuss topics such as progress toward second-half sales targets, measures for improving work efficiency, and the support needed from the company. After the group discussions, all participants gathered together to summarize their findings, and General Manager Lin Yi provided feedback and guidance. In the evening, two separate symposiums were held: one led by President Wang for senior executives and above, focusing on “Supply Chain Management,” and another business symposium hosted by General Manager Lin Yi for all other attendees. Throughout the entire day of discussions and analyses, participants identified areas where they fell short in the first half, learned from the best practices of leading companies, and actively prepared themselves to tackle the various challenges ahead in the second half. Everyone is confident that, at this year’s year-end summary meeting, they will present satisfactory results.

In the concluding segment of the morning session, Mr. Wang Zhenghu, President of the (Group) Company, offered additional explanations and comments on the questions raised during the meeting and provided an analysis of today’s economic environment.
During the afternoon’s breakout sessions, personnel from the four respective systems engaged in exchanges and discussions on topics including progress toward second-half sales targets, measures for improving work processes, and the support needed from the company. After the discussions concluded, everyone gathered to summarize and consolidate their findings, and General Manager Lin Yi provided comments and guidance. In the evening, two separate symposiums were held simultaneously: one led by President Wang, who delivered a lecture on “Supply Chain Management” specifically for deputy general managers and above; and another business symposium hosted by General Manager Lin Yi for all other attendees. After a full day of intensive discussions and analysis, participants identified areas where they fell short in the first half of the year, learned from the best practices of industry benchmarks, and are now fully prepared to tackle the various challenges ahead in the second half. We’re confident that at this year’s year-end summary meeting, everyone will present impressive results.
