Outperforming Others, Achieving Your Dreams—Changsha Zero One Embarks on a Journey of Automated, Intelligent, and Digital Training
Knowledge is acquired through learning, while skills are honed through practice. On May 4—the last day of the May Day holiday—sales and business colleagues from Changsha Zero One gathered at the training base of Zhuzhou Jicheng Technology Co., Ltd. With keen interest and enthusiastic spirits, they officially embarked on their journey of growth in automation, intelligent technologies, and digitalization.

Zhuzhou Jicheng Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as Jicheng Technology), affiliated with Shenzhen Jicheng Technology, serves as an offline training base and has established deep partnerships with brands such as Siemens and ABB. Its online courses—owned entirely by the company—cover a wide range of fields including PLCs, frequency converters, servos, robots, and CNC systems. With a primary focus on two key practical training areas—“intelligent manufacturing” and “artificial intelligence”—Jicheng Technology provides enterprises with an innovative platform for industry-education integration. For Changsha Lingyi, Jicheng Technology has customized personalized training programs specifically tailored for both sales & business positions and technical positions. The entire training program spans five days, during which participants come in concentrated batches over weekends. Each session is scheduled for one to two days, and on the final day, participants undergo an assessment covering both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, earning a certificate of completion as well as a skills certification authorized by Siemens. The course content includes detailed explanations of the hardware and software of the 200-SMART PLC, PLC programming logic, PLC control of frequency converters, integrated HMI control, and the use of stepper systems. In addition to theoretical instruction, the program also features hands-on sessions, such as programming and controlling LED lights to blink. Through experiential learning, participants gain a deeper understanding of PLC products and their practical applications, thereby enhancing their professional expertise.

At 8:30 a.m., colleagues from Changsha Lingyi officially kicked off the first session of their training on automation, intelligent technologies, and digitalization. Afterwards, the Changsha Lingyi team took a tour of Jicheng Technology’s exhibition hall, where they saw a variety of smart and automated devices—including self-service coffee machines, 3D printers, robots solving Rubik’s cubes, and the Wukong robot. The instructor provided a detailed explanation of the point-control and spacing-setting principles used to enable these functions. The advanced equipment and rapidly advancing scientific and technological innovations left everyone present utterly amazed, and many expressed their intention to bring their children along for an introduction to automation and technology.

Next, we entered the classroom, where everyone’s attention was immediately drawn to the PLCs installed one by one next to the computers. In the hands-on session that followed, each colleague got a chance to try controlling the turning on and off of light bulbs through programming. Instructor Li Xin—structural engineer and officially certified Siemens PLC trainer for S7-200 Smart, S7-1200, and NX MCD—delivered the lecture in a humorous and engaging manner, using simple language to explain complex engineering concepts. He covered the fundamentals of Siemens PLCs, compared their strengths and weaknesses with those of the Mitsubishi brand, and demonstrated basic programming and control techniques. The participants, guided by the principle of asking questions when they didn’t understand and learning when they couldn’t do something, actively interacted with the instructor. “During this session, the instructor clarified my doubts about the ST20, 30, and 60 models in the 200 Smart series and explained the differences between Siemens and Mitsubishi programming. This knowledge will be extremely helpful when I communicate technically with customers in the future,” said Sales Engineer Ren Wei after the class, adding that he was already looking forward to the next training session.
