The “Awakening Lion” invigorates Xiqiao, and aspiring heroes gather to chase their dreams—The 5th training session of the Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical Reserve Cadre Program concludes successfully.

The Lion Awakens, Wishing Xiqiao Well-Being; Aspiring Heroes Gather. From May 27 to 29, 2022, the fifth training session for the reserve cadre program of Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical was held as scheduled. A total of 43 participants (including those from other regions) took part in this 2.5-day learning and training program, which was conducted both online and offline simultaneously. The instructors for this course were Hu Qiuyuan, Deputy General Manager of Zhengda Automation (hereinafter referred to as “Mr. Hu”), and Lei Yuqiang, Director of the Human Resources Department (hereinafter referred to as “Mr. Lei”). Both instructors participated fully throughout the entire event.
Scenic Area Study Tour Section
On the afternoon of May 27, the participants headed to the Xiqiao Mountain Scenic Area. Accompanied by rain and mist, they wandered through the mountains and forests, where misty clouds swirled around the Guanyin Cloud Sea Lotus Platform. They traced the footsteps of ancient sites and dreamed back to the Baofeng Temple on Xiqiao Mountain.
During that time, I drove to the Wong Fei-hung Lion Dance Martial Arts Academy and witnessed firsthand performances of martial arts and lion dancing. I felt deeply that though the dim glow of swords and spears has faded into history, and the resounding drumbeats have long since died away, a heroic spirit still lingers in this world, galloping forth with unyielding vigor!
Meanwhile, trainees stationed in other regions have also been heading to scenic spots to participate simultaneously. Among them, the trainees from Xi'an traveled together to Lishan Mountain for a visit and to gain firsthand experience; those from Changsha went to the Changsha Concert Hall to explore and learn; and the trainees from Wuxi ventured to Huishan Ancient Town to uncover the mysteries of nature. This has demonstrated a team spirit characterized by unified steps and shared goals.

Topic Training Section
On the morning of the 28th and 29th, the trainees gathered by 6:30 a.m. to complete their warm-up exercises, then set off for a morning run along the beautiful shores of Tingyin Lake. They breathed in the fresh air after the rain, savored the breathtaking scenery, and greeted the start of a new day with full energy. Trainees from other regions were also engaging in morning runs at the same time.

First, Mr. Hu, General Manager of Zhengyi Automation, delivered a training session on the topic “How to Be an Effective Onboarding Mentor.” Starting from the shift in perception to a change in mindset, he discussed the comprehensive qualities and responsibilities of grassroots mentors, sharing his personal experiences with the participants in a thoughtful and engaging manner. He also provided clear guidance on how to better implement “passing on knowledge, offering assistance, and providing mentorship.”

At 2:00 p.m. on the 28th, Mr. Lei, Director of the Human Resources Department, delivered a training session titled “Application and Practice of Logical Thinking Tools.” Using various case studies, he engaged the participants in stimulating, thought-provoking interactions, teaching them how to leverage logical thinking to make quick and accurate judgments, thereby enhancing their professional skills.

Student Sharing Section
As they took stock of the medals they’d earned, their faces brimmed with an insatiable thirst for knowledge. On the morning of May 29, following a brainstorming session the previous night, the trainees divided into small groups to share and present their insights. Each group fully integrated what they had learned and reflected upon into their daily work and life, presenting their findings through engaging methods such as case studies, skits, and short plays. Mentors Mr. Lei and Mr. Hu provided targeted guidance to each group, sparking lively exchanges of ideas and fostering a spirit of shared wisdom—leading to a second round of inspiration. With each sharing session, we could clearly see the trainees steadily improving and growing. At the end of the session, awards were presented to the outstanding groups that had particularly distinguished themselves. We also look forward to seeing all the trainees put what they’ve learned into practice, using their new knowledge to further their learning and achieving mutual growth through the integration of theory and practice.

In this reserve cadre training, the mentors’ heartfelt guidance has enabled the participants to gain abundant insights and sparked even more creativity and synergy through the team’s outstanding presentations.
