[Gezhi Class & Senior Manager Class] [Reserve Manager Class] Training & Sharing Session
From July 30 to the morning of August 1, several mentors—including Lin Yi, General Manager of Zero One Industry; Lian Canhuan, General Manager of Siemens Motor Division; Peng Jinsong, General Manager of Zhengyi Automation; You Gaofeng, Assistant General Manager and CFO of Zero One Industry; and Chen Songwen, Deputy Director of the Finance Department at Zero One Industry—conducted corresponding training and exchange sessions for the three talent development cohorts.
[Venue for the Gezhi & Senior Manager Training Workshop]: On the morning of the 30th, to address various challenges that participants frequently encounter when making upward reports in their daily work, General Manager Lin delivered a lecture titled “Making Effective Upward Reports.” First, he asked participants to identify and articulate the common mistakes and recurring issues they often make in their upward management processes. Next, he analyzed these issues from four key dimensions: report format and approach, pre-report preparation, precautions during the reporting process, and follow-up tracking and feedback. Finally, he introduced a 49-character guideline—“When reporting, focus on results; when seeking instructions, present solutions; when summarizing, highlight procedures; when assigning tasks, specify standards; when showing concern for subordinates, inquire about the process; when handing over tasks, explain the process thoroughly; when transferring responsibilities, emphasize integrity; and when reflecting on past work, share your personal feelings”—to help participants pinpoint problems and find practical, effective solutions. This approach enabled everyone to learn how to truly achieve effective upward reporting.
From the afternoon of the 30th to the morning of the 31st, General You and General Chen delivered a course titled “Financial Management for Non-Financial Directors.” This marked the first attempt to combine common training with personalized training. On the first day, Generals You and Chen provided all participants with a comprehensive overview of financial knowledge covering the three major financial statements and related indicator analyses—common topics for all attendees. Through specific case studies and hands-on exercises, they offered valuable insights and guidance to each subsidiary company on daily sales budgeting, financial budgeting, future development planning, process monitoring, and goal breakdown.
In the afternoon of the 31st, based on the different personality needs of the participants, targeted and in-depth analyses were conducted separately for the Gezhi Class and the Senior Manager Class. During the session, General Manager You shared with the Gezhi Class key insights on how to effectively implement cost control, break down and manage objectives; while General Manager Chen, addressing the Senior Manager Class, used a wealth of case studies to enhance everyone’s capabilities in financial management. Throughout the sessions, mentors General Manager Lin and General Manager Lian also engaged in deeper exchanges with the participants, offering guidance on how to address challenges in team development.

[Reserve Manager Training Session]: On the 30th, General Peng delivered a lecture titled “Sales Budgeting and Process Control” to the trainees. He provided an in-depth analysis—from business planning to the basis for budgeting and key considerations when preparing budgets. As businesses face increasing uncertainties during operations, through budget simulations, rigorous questioning, and flexible analyses, all inputs and resources can be re-examined and balanced from perspectives such as rationality and efficiency, ensuring optimal allocation of resources. During the session, General Peng also set aside dedicated time to answer trainees’ questions and provide comprehensive guidance on budget formats and tools. After the class ended, the trainees were still eager to learn more and continued to seek further advice from their instructor.

Receivables management, as a crucial component of sales process control, was the focus of Manager Lian’s session this morning. Building on the content from Manager Peng’s lecture earlier, Manager Lian discussed with the participants the challenges companies faced in collecting payments during their early stages and provided an analysis of the current market situation. Through numerous vivid images and practical scripts, he helped us understand how to better perform the preliminary work related to receivables management. For modern enterprises, accounts receivable—used as both a credit tool and a promotional tactic—has, to some extent, enhanced their competitiveness, boosted sales volume, and stimulated profit growth. However, at the same time, delayed payments have also become one of the major reasons why many businesses have been driven into financial distress. Only by effectively managing accounts receivable can enterprises accelerate cash flow, improve capital utilization, increase net profits, mitigate business risks, and ultimately maximize their wealth.

As the saying goes, "Learning is for application." While theoretical knowledge is certainly important, it’s even more crucial to be able to apply it flexibly and effectively in one’s work. With this in mind, the participants of the Ge Gao Class and the Reserve Manager Class all shared and presented their learning outcomes the day after completing the course. After digesting the material and engaging in brainstorming sessions the previous night, the participating groups delivered presentations through various formats—including on-site simulations, data analysis, and discussions of common case studies. Through these activities, they gained a clear understanding of their own shortcomings in areas such as communication across hierarchical levels and financial management, and they proposed targeted ideas and solutions for improvement. The instructors provided individual guidance throughout, helping the participants gain further insights and inspiration. Additionally, outstanding group members were awarded “Excellent Student” prizes to recognize their exceptional performance.

During this training, participants engaged in both constructive criticism and self-criticism, aligning their reflections with the key course topics. They gained a deeper understanding of their own shortcomings and gradually identified effective strategies for improvement moving forward. General Lin’s upward reporting session inspired team leaders to better guide their subordinates toward collective growth, while also helping everyone become qualified subordinates whom their superiors can trust. The courses delivered by General You and General Chen enriched participants’ knowledge of financial management, enhancing their awareness and capabilities in risk control and management. Meanwhile, the sessions led by General Peng and General Lian helped participants strengthen their accounts receivable management and optimize control over the entire business process. We believe that through this round of learning, all participants will achieve a qualitative leap in their future work, laying a solid foundation for realizing ZeroOne Industry’s five-year strategic goals.
