Surfing the waves with strong winds at our backs, we seize every moment and strive to make the most of our youthful years—The second training session of the third Reserve Cadre Development Program for Zhengda Machinery & Electronics has concluded successfully.
On November 19-20, the second training session of the third Reserve Cadre Class was held. Forty participants from Foshan and Dongguan gathered at the Zero One Science and Technology Park, surrounded by the fragrant aroma of osmanthus, for an in-person training session, while 21 participants from other districts joined the learning simultaneously via an online sub-venue.
The company has always attached great importance to training programs for all levels of talent development teams. Originally, this training was scheduled to bring all participants to the Wyndham Grand Hotel Zhaoqing (a five-star hotel). However, due to the sudden and rapid outbreak of the epidemic in Zhaoqing, the training has been temporarily adjusted to a hybrid online-and-offline format.
Although the plan has changed, our enthusiasm remains unchanged. Throughout the two-day training, both online and offline participants have been brimming with energy, starting each day with a morning run to kick off their days full of vitality. With their actions, they perfectly embody the spirit of working hard and happily while living a joyful and healthy life.

Topic Training Section
On the morning of November 19, General Manager Lian Canhuan from Siemens’ Business Unit delivered a lecture titled “Self-Awareness.” Through interactive mini-games, participants gained a deep understanding that, when making decisions, our subconscious often plays a dominant role. As the saying goes, you can’t have both fish and bear’s paw—getting one means giving up the other. The choice you ultimately make will lead to different outcomes. The session also explored how to clearly define one’s role in daily life and work, the problems that arise from role misalignment, and helped participants pinpoint their own positions and responsibilities. Furthermore, it highlighted the capabilities and qualities that a qualified manager must possess in order to effectively lead a team.
In the afternoon, Director Lei Yuqiang from the Human Resources Department of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. delivered a lecture titled “Application and Practice of Logical Thinking Tools.” Using various case studies, he engaged the participants in “brain-teasing” interactive sessions, explaining the fundamental manifestations of a lack of logic as well as real-world scenarios in the workplace where logical thinking is essential. This helped the participants gain a deeper understanding of their own shortcomings. Participants learned how to effectively use logical thinking tools to make quick and accurate judgments, thereby enhancing both their work efficiency and professional skills.

Finally, Director Lian and Director Lei presented “Outstanding Assignment” awards to the two trainees who received this honor in the previous session (Hu Junzhao from Zhengyi Automation and Mai Jie from Dongguan Dasheng). They also presented “Outstanding Trainee” awards to the three trainees who performed particularly well this time (Song Miaocui from Zhengyi Automation, Meng Shumei from Dongguan Dasheng, and Liang Yongpei from the Marketing Department), encouraging all trainees to put what they’ve learned into practice and continue growing through hands-on experience in their future personal and professional lives.
As we ride the waves forward with strong winds at our backs, let us seize every moment and live up to our youthful years. This sudden COVID-19 pandemic has confined people within their own spaces, shackling not only their bodies but also their spirits. Yet, as reserve cadre trainees—vital forces driving the company’s development—we face a heavy responsibility and a long road ahead. We must embrace the spirit of “riding the waves forward,” embarking on this new journey with unwavering determination, tirelessly enhancing our knowledge and honing our talents, and working diligently and pragmatically to leave behind a trail of tireless, unregretful effort.
