Carrying forward the past and opening up a new journey—The third training program for reserve management personnel at Zhengda Machinery & Electronics has been successfully launched.
Carrying forward the past and opening up a new journey, we forge ahead with determination to write a new chapter. Following the successful completion of the first and second sessions of the Reserve Cadre Training Program last week, the third session officially kicked off from September 23rd to 25th. Participants from branch companies across the country gathered at our headquarters in Foshan, Guangdong Province. With an average age of 28, they exude a vibrant and energetic youthful spirit.
This training session consists of four main components: outdoor team-building activities, themed training courses, an opening ceremony, and a sharing session by student representatives. All 62 participants took part in every single activity throughout the entire program.

[Outdoor Team Building Section]
On the morning of the 23rd, all participants took a bus to Qiaoxin Ecological Park in Sanshui District, Foshan City, for an outdoor team-building activity. This time, the team-building program featured some innovative approaches that differed from previous ones, incorporating two relatively niche sports—baseball and curling—that nonetheless put a significant emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.
Facing classmates from all over the country who were still unfamiliar with one another, before the team-building activities officially began, the coach led everyone through an icebreaker and group-formation exercise. Each group selected a team leader for this session, discussed and decided on their group’s name and slogan, and then presented their team’s unique style. As a result, even the usually reserved participants gradually began to open up, and the atmosphere at the scene started to liven up.

To help the participants push beyond their limits and unleash their passion, we started with a baseball session. After the coach explained the rules and precautions of baseball to all the participants, they engaged in practical training on basic batting and catching techniques. Following the practice session, the official competition began: all participants were divided into four groups, with each pair of groups competing against each other. The winners advanced to the finals to compete for first and second place, while the losers moved on to the third-place playoff. In these intense matches, we saw each group leader strategically arranging their team members based on their individual strengths and abilities. Every member was fully motivated, working together as one under the blazing sun, striving wholeheartedly for their team’s victory. At that moment, there were no losers—everyone was fully engaged and gave their all. In the end, after fierce competition, Group One emerged as the champion of the baseball tournament.

In the afternoon, after a brief rest, the participants quickly plunged into the curling competition. Throughout the game, each team carefully advanced step by step on the ever-changing ice surface, keeping a broad overview of the entire arena. To achieve better results, every team employed various strategies aimed at securing a position closer to the center. Each round was full of endless possibilities. In addition to strategic planning, seamless teamwork and mutual support among teammates were essential for attaining top performances. After going through the points-based matches, obstacle-clearing rounds, and team-versus-team showdowns, the four best teams ultimately emerged as champions with a record of three wins and one loss.

Outdoor team-building activities not only helped the new trainees quickly break the ice but also enabled everyone to appreciate the importance of teamwork. At the end, all the participants came together to reflect on and summarize their experiences and insights from the day, bringing this activity to a close amid everyone’s laughter and joy.

In the evening, all participants attended the welcome dinner for the opening ceremony. Lin Yi, General Manager of Lingyi Industry (hereinafter referred to as “General Manager Lin”), Peng Jinsong, General Manager of Zhengyi Automation (hereinafter referred to as “General Manager Peng”), Hu Qiuyuan, Deputy General Manager of Zhengyi Automation, and Meng Xianglu, Director of the Human Resources Department (hereinafter referred to as “General Manager Meng”), were present at the dinner. During the dinner, General Manager Lin and General Manager Meng each delivered speeches. While congratulating everyone on successfully joining the reserve cadre training program, they also expressed the company’s high expectations for all participants.

[Topic Training Section]
At 6:30 a.m. on the 24th, 62 participants gathered punctually at the ZeroOne Technology Park and kicked off their energized day with a morning run.
At 8:30 a.m., all the trainees officially began the first lesson of this training session.
At the sub-venue on the 4th floor of Building 1 at Zero One Science and Technology Park, General Lin delivered a lecture titled “Corporate Development and Personal Opportunities” to the students of Class A. General Lin’s lecture was structured around three main sections: the nation’s macroeconomic environment and Siemens’ development, Zero One’s industrial development strategy, and personal development and opportunities. This helped the participants gain a deeper understanding of the company’s current development and plans, as well as what the company’s rapid growth means for each of us personally. General Lin also shared insights on how we can seize opportunities, make the most of them, and achieve our personal goals through hard work, thereby realizing a win-win situation for both the company and ourselves. During the class, General Lin frequently offered insightful remarks. The students particularly resonated with this statement: “Remember the line from the movie ‘Tai Chi’: ‘Follow me, and you’ll have something to eat.’” General Lin emphasized that, as qualified reserve cadres, we must absolutely possess a spirit of dedication.
Meanwhile, at the sub-venue on the 9th floor of Building 1 in Zero One Science and Technology Park, General Peng delivered a lecture on “Goal Management” to the students of Class B. General Peng’s lecture covered three main aspects: the definition, content, significance, and methods of goal management. By helping the participants understand both the company’s development and personal opportunities, he encouraged them to conduct in-depth analyses tailored to their own situations, develop individual career plans, and then pursue their goals accordingly.

At 2:00 p.m., in the sub-venue on the 9th floor, General Lin delivered the course “Company Development and Personal Opportunities” to the students of Class B; meanwhile, at the sub-venue on the 4th floor, General Peng gave the course “Goal Management” to the students of Class A.
This is the first time that the talent development program has attempted to conduct training simultaneously at two sub-venues. Despite the considerable effort required, the instructors delivered a full day of engaging and insightful courses to all participants. We sincerely thank the instructors for their selfless dedication and hard work, and extend to them our highest respect and gratitude!

[Opening Ceremony Section]
At 7:15 p.m., the opening ceremony for this session was held. Liu Hongxia, Deputy Manager of the Human Resources Department, gave a comprehensive introduction to all participants about the training program and rules and regulations for the Reserve Cadre Class. Following that, an exciting election for class officers took place. In the end, Peng Tao from Wuxi Lingdian and Song Miaocui from Zhengyi Automation were appointed as the class monitor and vice-monitor of Class A, respectively, while Mai Jie from Dongguan Dasheng and Tao Tao from Mingchen Industrial were appointed as the class monitor and vice-monitor of Class B, respectively. Immediately afterward, all participants jointly signed this session’s “Learning Covenant.” After the opening ceremony concluded, members of each group began lively discussions in preparation for tomorrow’s first group achievement presentation.

[Student Representative Sharing and Report Section]
On the morning of the 25th, to assess the students’ learning outcomes over the past two days, 16 students—representing their respective eight groups—presented their findings after last night’s brainstorming sessions. Each student representative freely expressed their views and shared their insights and reflections.

General Lin and General Meng listened attentively to everyone’s reports throughout the entire session and provided guidance and suggestions based on their performance, thereby sparking a second round of inspiration among the participants. Meanwhile, leaders from various units also joined online to listen to the participants’ presentations. At the end of the session, immediate rewards were given to the teams and individuals who demonstrated particularly active and outstanding performances. The “Outstanding Teams” (Group 4 from Class A & Group 3 from Class B) and the “Outstanding Participants” (Dongguan Dasheng-Maijie & Mingchen Industry-Tao Tao) were selected.

The three-day training has come to a temporary close, but the real excitement is just beginning!
