Admiring the breathtaking red landscapes, continuing the soul of our nation, opening the door to management, and writing a new chapter for our generation—Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical’s Phase 1 & 2 Reserve Cadre Training Programs have successfully concluded.
I’ve long harbored lofty aspirations, and now I’ve ascended to Jinggangshan. From September 15 to 18, 2022, a total of 38 participants from the first and second Reserve Cadre Training Classes, along with three mentors from the Talent Pipeline Development Program—the General Manager of Siemens Motor Division, Lian Canhuan (hereafter referred to as “GM Lian”), the General Manager of Zhengyi Automation Company, Peng Jinsong (hereafter referred to as “GM Peng”), and the Director of the Human Resources Department, Lei Yuqiang (hereafter referred to as “GM Lei”)—traveled together to Jinggangshan, Jiangxi Province—the cradle of the Chinese Revolution—to participate in the concluding activities of this Reserve Cadre Training Class.

Looking back on the learning journey of the reserve cadre training program, we can see that the curriculum was both rich in content and diverse in format. Throughout the entire program, a total of nine internal instructors and one externally hired instructor generously shared their expertise, delivering a combined total of 12 thematic training courses—two-thirds of which were skill-based and technique-oriented, while the remaining one-third focused on comprehensive personal development. Each session presented by the instructors was thoroughly insightful yet easy to understand, packed with practical, actionable insights that greatly benefited the participants and enabled them to achieve tangible, visible progress and growth time after time.

On the morning of the 16th, representatives of the mentors and all the trainees visited the Beishan Revolutionary Martyrs’ Cemetery, laid wreaths, paid tribute to the martyrs, and observed a moment of silent mourning with bowed heads. Party members also reaffirmed their入党 oath, expressing their reverence and remembrance for the Red Army martyrs. Afterwards, they entered the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Museum, where they viewed numerous historical artifacts and listened to detailed accounts of Party history, recalling the glorious years of Jinggangshan.

On the afternoon of the 16th, the trainees visited one after another such sites as Huangyangjie, Zhu De’s Shoulder-Porter Trail, the former site of the Shangjing Red Army Mint, and the Red Army Hospital. On this land soaked with the blood of countless heroes, we seemed to see vivid lives fighting valiantly right before our eyes—booming cannon fire, roaring battle cries, blood mingled with sweat and tears—all of which filled us with deep emotion, reminding us of the arduous and perilous journey of the revolution. This experience made us even more grateful for and cherish our peaceful present life, and truly appreciate the Jinggangshan Spirit nurtured and sustained by this red, fertile land. At the same time, it awakened in everyone a strong sense of responsibility and a lofty mission, inspiring each trainee to believe that “nothing is impossible in the world—if only we are willing to climb.” We must exert effort no less than anyone else, persistently put our convictions into practice without slackening, and forge ahead with vigor and determination.

At 6:30 a.m. on the 17th and 18th, all 38 trainees had assembled, and they kicked off their energized day with a morning run. At 8:00 a.m., the trainees began their full-day report on their learning outcomes. Leaders from various units were also invited to join the online session as observers, gaining insight into everyone’s learning and growth progress. The trainees presented their reports in three main sections: “Self-Assessment,” “Case Sharing on Applying What They’ve Learned,” and “Other Thoughts.” In these presentations, they reflected on their practical learning achievements and deeply analyzed their own shortcomings. Three mentors provided feedback on the trainees’ presentations, highlighting their progress and pointing out areas for improvement. This helped the participants further understand their responsibilities and obligations as cadres, shift their mindsets, and break through existing bottlenecks.

From 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., the participants watched the large-scale, live-action performance “Jinggangshan,” a tribute to the Red Revolutionary War, at the Red Army Theater. Six hundred villagers from Jinggangshan presented to us a thrilling and heart-stirring depiction of the revolution. Just as a single spark can set a prairie ablaze, when the thunderous roar of cannons echoed through the sky, when flames began to flicker one by one on the mountainside, and when the victorious army waved its arms as it marched toward the masses, everyone was deeply moved and profoundly shaken.

At 8:00 a.m. on the 18th, the trainees continued with their final report presentations. First, Ms. Liu Hongxia, Manager of the Training Group in the Human Resources Department, reviewed and summarized the seven training sessions of the Reserve Cadre Class. Then, representatives of the mentors—Mr. Lian, Mr. Peng, and Mr. Lei—presented the graduation certificates to the trainees, awarded certificates for Outstanding Trainee and Outstanding Class Officer, and delivered remarks by the award recipients.
