Honing Body and Mind, Steadfastly Moving Forward—The Third Training Session of the Third Reserve Cadre Class Concludes Successfully.

Honing both body and mind, and forging ahead with determination. From February 24 to 26, 2023, 58 participants from the third cohort of reserve cadre training gathered at Nanguo Taoyuan in Foshan to take part in their second-and-a-half-day training session. The training was divided into four main components: outdoor team-building activities, “Midnight Conversations” at 12 o’clock, classroom learning, and sharing and reporting sessions. With the support and cooperation of Wang Zhenghu, President of Foshan Zhengda Mechanical & Electrical Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., as well as company leaders, instructors, and all the participants, the training concluded successfully.

To broaden the horizons of our trainees and put the company’s “721” culture into practice, the company has organized a golf experience activity for trainees, enabling them to learn the sportsmanship of respect, integrity, self-discipline, and fairness.

On the morning of the 24th, before the official start of the golf experience, the coach explained to the participants the sport’s origins, cultural background, and competition rules. With the coach’s guidance, the participants gradually mastered the proper grip and swing techniques. To spark the participants’ enthusiasm for learning and liven up the atmosphere, a small golf-putting competition was organized on-site. The participants eagerly took part and achieved one excellent result after another.

The golfing experience is both a pleasure and a challenge: the pleasure comes from playing in a beautiful setting, while the challenge lies in continually raising one’s own standards. Thus, during this session, participants not only enjoyed themselves amid laughter and cheerful chatter but also gained a healthy body and a deep sense of accomplishment.

    02 Night Talk at Midnight

The “Night Talk at Midnight” segment, launched as a startup initiative, is the biggest highlight of this training. It makes full use of participants’ spare time, taps into their potential, and embodies the company’s corporate culture, helping participants develop good work and study habits.

On the evening of the 24th, the themed exchange session “Night Talk at Midnight” was in full swing. All participants, divided into six groups, engaged in lively discussions and shared insights around two key topics: golf experiences and the company’s corporate culture. Notably, Wang Zhenghu, President of Foshan Zhengda Machinery & Electronics Co., Ltd. and Chairman of Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd.—a special guest known for his mystery—made time amidst his busy schedule to join the event along with members of his HR team, delivering a two-hour session of insightful guidance and interaction. Drawing on his own personal experiences, President Wang shared numerous fascinating insights with the participants and patiently answered questions they had raised prior to the training. The session was met with continuous applause from the audience. With a wealth of valuable takeaways, the participants successfully completed the first day’s training program.

On the evening of the 25th, all participants divided into eight groups for discussion. The focus was on reviewing and summarizing the content of the three courses, sharing experiences, learning from one another, deepening their understanding of the training material through intellectual exchange, and preparing materials for the presentation and report to be shared the following day.

As among the first to “eat the crab,” everyone has embraced the new changes with a positive attitude and delivered satisfactory results for the company. The three mentors have also led by example, joining the trainees in the “Midnight Chat at 12” session to engage in lively exchanges and continue learning together until midnight (24:00).

    03 Course Study

On the 25th and 26th at 6:30 a.m., before starting their coursework, the participants engaged in a 30-minute morning run around the picturesque Bibo Lake. Surrounded by this beautiful setting, the participants were further inspired to muster up high spirits and enthusiasm, enabling them to greet the new day in peak condition and fully showcase the spirited demeanor of Zhengda individuals.

The course covers three main topics. To ensure effective instruction, participants are divided into two classes—A and B—and take turns attending small-group sessions.

Wang Yijian, General Manager of Chengdu Nengda, delivered a lecture titled “Professional Competence Behind Achievements.” He introduced the topic by asking, “Why should we explore the issue of ‘professionalism’?” Then, he delved deeper into the subject from three perspectives: “What is professionalism?,” “What is professional competence?,” and “How can one become professional?” Using a participatory approach, he analyzed real-life cases from various roles—including sales, technology, procurement, and business—helping participants understand how to seize opportunities and enhance their own capabilities in their daily work. This approach enabled the participants to better grasp the necessity and significance of developing professional competence.

Mind mapping is an efficient tool for structured thinking. It helps us clarify our thoughts and reorganize our knowledge into a more orderly system. To help participants develop efficient and organized thinking patterns and to spark their creativity, Yan Shenghui, Assistant to the General Manager of the General Office, adopted a “case recreation + scenario simulation” approach. This allowed participants to absorb knowledge in an atmosphere filled with laughter and joy, delivering a lively and engaging “Mind Mapping” class. Participants enthusiastically expressed that they would make good use of mind maps in their future work to analyze problems more effectively.

Chen Songwen, Deputy Director of the Finance Department, systematically delivered the course “Financial Training,” covering three key areas: company operations, accounts receivable and inventory management, and risk control. This course aimed to enhance participants’ financial awareness from a theoretical perspective. Throughout the session, Chen addressed questions raised by the participants prior to the class by placing these questions in the context of real-world scenarios, enabling the participants to step into the role of analysts and examine the associated risks firsthand. As a result, the participants gained a deeper understanding of the importance of cultivating financial awareness.

    04 Share the report

At 8:00 on the 26th, to assess the trainees’ learning outcomes during the training period, we have specially scheduled a “Sharing, Summary, and Report” session.

Before officially starting the report, two outstanding trainees—Hu Zhiming from Changsha Lingyi and He Qingsong from Chengdu Nengda—delivered insightful interpretations of their learning outcomes from the previous session, setting an excellent example and playing a leading role. Afterwards, student representatives pooled their group wisdom to share their reflections on the course content, drawing on their professional expertise, financial knowledge, and mind-mapping tools to reflect on their own work and propose specific improvement plans.

During this period, the three instructors—Mr. Yi Jian, Mr. Yan, and Mr. Chen—listened attentively to the participants’ presentations on-site, provided guidance and comments on both the content of their reports and their presentation skills, and also took note of the participants’ suggestions, thereby achieving mutual progress.

Finally, the instructor recognized and rewarded the groups and students who demonstrated active participation and outstanding performance, selecting winners for “Golf Swing Champion,” “Outstanding After-Class Assignment,” “Outstanding Group,” and “Outstanding Student,” thereby motivating the participants to learn from those who excel and strive toward even higher and farther-reaching goals.
