Learning—from childhood to old age—Siemens Beid’s first nationwide in-person training event for fiscal year 2023

Learning from childhood to old age, under the blossoming springtime in Yangzhou during the third month of the lunar calendar—on March 21, 2023, Guangdong Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd. organized a group of 13 Beide sales representatives from its Siemens Motor Division, Changsha Lingyi Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., Guangdong Zhengyi Sheng Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., Wuxi Lingdian Industrial Technology Co., Ltd., and Chongqing Zhengyi Ming Technology Co., Ltd. to attend the first nationwide offline training session for dedicated sales personnel held by Siemens Motors (China) Co., Ltd. for fiscal year 2023. This training lasted one and a half days and aimed to help participants become more familiar with Beide motor products and gain a deeper understanding of Beide’s factory processes—including order placement, business operations, and after-sales services. Siemens Motors (China) Co., Ltd., located in Yizheng City, Jiangsu Province, covers an area of 200 mu. As one of Siemens’ key global production bases for small- and medium-sized low-voltage motors, its beautiful environment has been recognized as an outstanding Siemens factory for three consecutive years.
On the morning of March 21, the 13 colleagues who had signed up for the training gathered on time and, together with our national distributor partners, kicked off this training session. In the morning, Mr. Huangshan, Principal of Siemens Bode Sales, primarily introduced the organizational structure of LVM and SSML as well as Bode Motor’s flagship products. Following that, Ms. Sun Mei from Siemens provided an in-depth introduction to specialized knowledge related to electric motors.

On the afternoon of March 21, led by factory staff, our group was fortunate enough to step inside the Siemens factory and take a close-up tour of the workshop’s production processes. The factory workshop features a W-shaped production layout that enables first-in, first-out lean management. It is equipped with an intelligent finished-goods warehouse shipping system, fully mechanized production with no manual workstations, and 150 U-shaped production units where every production step is visually monitored and traceable. Moreover, cutting-edge simulation technology provides robust support for design validation. All the trainees present were deeply impressed and moved by Siemens’ state-of-the-art production equipment, advanced technologies and expertise, as well as its relentless pursuit of process excellence.

On the morning of March 22, heads of various departments at Siemens Bode briefed us on Bode’s specific business communication procedures, order placement processes, follow-up on shipments, after-sales service workflows, analysis and troubleshooting of common motor faults, requirements for accepting bills of exchange, and other relevant guidelines. Afterwards, all participants were divided into five groups for on-site group discussions and tests, with a primary focus on reviewing and summarizing the content learned over the past two days. During the testing phase, every participant was fully engaged and immersed in the task. In the final discussion session, everyone actively shared their insights and raised their questions, while both the on-site training facilitators and fellow participants worked together to address and clarify any doubts. In particular, during the motor selection test, each group engaged in lively and collaborative discussions, ultimately confirming their group’s chosen solutions. At the end, the instructors shared their expertise and tips on motor selection with us. Accompanied by enthusiastic discussions and applause from everyone, the 2023 fiscal year Siemens Bode National Sales Line’s dedicated junior sales training course came to a perfect close.

Finally, I’d like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the company for providing us with this training opportunity, which has broadened our horizons. This training is just like a catalyst for cellular regeneration—once we’ve gained new insights, we’ll be sure to put what we’ve learned into practice in both our work and our daily lives, continuously iterating and improving. Such training not only helps the company become more dynamic and professional, fostering the development of more specialized talents and ensuring an ever-growing pool of capable employees, but also enables the company to adapt to the constantly evolving market, enhance the professional skills of its staff, and achieve sustainable development, all while striving toward our goal of reaching 5 billion as soon as possible.
