Accelerating Growth, Driving Precise Implementation of Management | The “A+ Manager Level 1: Accelerating Growth” training concludes successfully.
As the company rapidly grows, managers—whose roles are central to its success—will face increasingly greater challenges. How can managers transform their existing knowledge and experience into more personalized and targeted management skills to effectively tackle the complex managerial situations they encounter when leading others? To help managers bridge the gap between “knowing” and “doing,” on May 20–21, 2023, a total of 35 participants—including heads of various departments and core team members—gathered at the Conference Center on the 4th floor of Zero One Science and Technology Park in Foshan, embarking on a two-day immersive, intensive training program.

As early as one week before the training began, participants had already engaged in a series of preparatory activities via an online platform, including professional assessments, pre-class self-study, and pre-class communication and Q&A sessions. These activities helped participants gradually familiarize themselves with the learning content of the training course and ensured they were fully prepared for the upcoming training.
The trainer for this session is Teacher Han Jianxin, who previously worked at renowned Chinese and foreign companies such as Mercedes-Benz, McLuhan, and Amway. Teacher Han boasts extensive theoretical and practical experience. Over the course of the two-day program, he employed a variety of engaging methods—including focused analysis of dilemma-driven case studies, group role-playing exercises, brainstorming on key issues, and reinforcing and practicing effective problem-solving strategies—to deliver instruction from three key dimensions: role awareness, managing others, and fostering collaborative management. This approach enabled participants to truly start from the “heart,” deeply dissecting the managerial wisdom behind various scenarios, and promoting the integration of knowledge and action—moving seamlessly from knowing to doing.

Focusing on the pre-class assessment data report, Teacher Han provided the participants with an in-depth analysis of their current strengths and weaknesses as managers, and offered specific recommendations for improvement. He pointed out: “The primary goal is to gain a comprehensive understanding of various dimensions of managerial competence through effective assessment tools, and then to focus on enhancing and addressing these areas in our future work.” At the same time, using team data analysis and drawing on real-life examples from the workplace, Teacher Han encouraged the participants to think independently, enabling them to gain a clearer awareness of their own shortcomings.
The two-day course was both compact and enriching. Teacher Han’s unique, question-based teaching style enabled participants to experience a level of engagement unlike anything they’d encountered before. Through vivid and practical case studies, combined with useful tools such as the New Talent Formula and the Talent Nine-Box Grid, the course thoroughly explored how to effectively motivate employees and foster collaborative management that leads to win-win outcomes. The content was highly focused and packed with valuable insights, resonating deeply with participants as they not only gained new knowledge but also found personal connections and reflections.

This training session was conducted in the form of a team points-based competition, with Teacher Han scoring each group based on their performance in class. Through exciting and intense competitions among the groups, Group 4, “Very 6+1,” ultimately won the “Outstanding Group” award. Teacher Han also presented prizes to the members of the outstanding group and took a commemorative photo with them.

The two-day “A+ Manager Level 1—Growth Acceleration” training concluded beautifully with a heartwarming group photo. In just two short days, participants from various organizations seized the opportunity to compete with one another, showcasing their unique strengths and engaging in lively intellectual exchanges with the instructors. Like soldiers receiving a fresh supply of ammunition, the participants eagerly longed to charge ahead and conquer new frontiers in their respective workplaces.
This “A+ Manager Level 1—Growth Acceleration” course is a series of copyrighted programs developed based on Ram Charan’s Leadership Pipeline Theory. Going forward, we will continue to introduce additional courses such as “A+ Manager Level 2—Excellence Cultivation,” taking into account the learners’ feedback and the effectiveness of the current program.
Teacher Han said, “Only by continuously improving and strengthening themselves can managers become the ‘moat’ that shields the company from risks.” Just like the learning culture that our company has always championed, everyone needs to keep learning and pursue lifelong growth. We look forward to all managers transforming the knowledge they’ve acquired into management skills that suit them best and putting these skills into practice in their daily work—ensuring that management is precise and effective, and truly enabling them to become well-rounded managers who excel both in defense and offense. “With the long wind at our backs, we’ll one day break through the waves and hoist our sails high to cross the vast ocean.” As long as we stay true to our original aspirations and strive bravely, Zhengda Machinery & Electronics will surely become an aircraft carrier leading the development of our industry!
