In 2023, confronted with the dual challenges of global economic uncertainty and industry upgrades, all employees of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, under the leadership of the company’s management, have actively explored innovations in products and services, vigorously promoted internal process improvements, and consolidated our market position, while also laying a solid foundation for future growth.

Looking back on the past and looking forward to the future, from February 2 to February 3, 2024, Zhengda Machinery & Electronics held a grand “Customer-Centric, Focused on Those Who Strive, Committed to Long-Term Hard Work, and Upholding Self-Criticism—Zhengda Machinery & Electronics’ 2023 Year-End Thematic Training and Series of Events” in a hybrid online-and-offline format. The event consisted of four main components: a sports meet, year-end training, a year-end summary conference, and a Spring Festival gala.

Sports Games Chapter

To enrich employees’ lives, enhance their physical fitness, showcase the positive, enterprising, and courageous spirit of CP employees, and promote the company culture of “working hard with joy and living a healthy and happy life,” after more than a month of careful preparation, the 10th Annual Sports Meet officially kicked off on the afternoon of February 2.

This year’s sports event continues the principle of balancing competitiveness with fun that has been a hallmark of previous events. In terms of sport selection, we’ve retained three popular events: the thrilling and exciting basketball game, the endurance-testing plank challenge, and the exhilarating tug-of-war competition. At the same time, we’re keeping up the tradition of offering both individual and team-based fun activities—popular past events such as jump rope, the 24-point game, the “two people, three legs” race, and balloon-blowing relay races will all be featured once again. Additionally, we’ve introduced some new, simple yet highly engaging games that test quick thinking and reflexes, including “Point East, Say West” and “You Draw, I Guess.” As in the previous event, this year’s sports meet also adopts the points-and-rewards system, encouraging participation by collecting point stamps to redeem prizes. With the dual appeal of entertaining games and generous rewards, everyone is eager to take part and can’t wait to get started!

Year-End Training Series

On the morning of February 3, in response to the company’s business development and management needs, the company conducted two themed training sessions via online live streaming, targeting different groups. Participants attended these sessions from their respective office/conference rooms.

From 9:00 to 11:00, in order to further enhance awareness of business risk prevention and improve the ability to manage overdue receivables, the company is organizing a special training session for all sales colleagues on the topic of “Risk Prevention in Business Processes and Standards for Using Contract Documents.” This session features a special guest speaker—Attorney Xie Jiahui from Yingke Law Firm (Foshan), Beijing. Attorney Xie’s presentation covered common risk warnings in business processes, an introduction to the key provisions of the new Company Law, and guidelines for the proper use of business contracts. Drawing on historical cases involving customer litigation, he emphasized that it is crucial to conduct initial information screening to identify and filter out “problematic customers,” as well as to ensure the company’s ability to recover payments. He also highlighted specific points we should pay attention to once the new Company Law takes effect on July 1, 2024. In addition, Attorney Xie provided detailed explanations on the standardization of business contract signing procedures. Finally, he addressed and clarified one by one the questions raised by his colleagues.

Meanwhile, from 9:00 to 10:30, Wang Zhiming, Manager of the Information Department at Zero One Industry, will deliver a special training session for all staff at the supervisor level and above at Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, focusing on “Introduction to IT System Functions and Key ERP Processes.” Manager Wang will cover three key areas: the core functions of the information system, selected key ERP processes, and the changes and impacts brought about by the ERP upgrade project. He will also present the company’s current digital system architecture and status of digital transformation. In addition, he will share insights into critical processes such as new customer acquisition & credit modifications, SA sales with purchase requisitions, and prototype business YJ. Furthermore, he will analyze how the upgraded system has enhanced business processes and management levels across the sales, procurement, and production modules. Digital transformation is an ongoing, continuous journey. We believe that with everyone’s joint efforts, we will surely continue to empower our business operations to run efficiently and provide strong support for the company’s steady development.

Year-End Summary Meeting Section

Looking back on 2023, despite a complex and ever-changing environment, all employees remained united and steadfastly upheld the core values of “Integrity, Professionalism, Innovation, and Win-Win Cooperation,” working together to meet challenges head-on. The company’s various tasks were carried out comprehensively, and strategic plans were steadily advanced. On the afternoon of February 3, the Zhengda Machinery & Electronics 2023 Year-End Summary Conference—centered on “Customer First, Empowering Those Who Strive, Engaging in Long-Term Hard Work, and Upholding Self-Criticism”—was solemnly held at the main venue, the International Conference Center on the 4th floor of Building No. 1 in Zero One Science and Technology Park. This conference adopted a hybrid online-and-offline format, with four sub-venues at the Foshan headquarters and eight satellite sub-venues located in Dongguan, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Wuxi, Jinan, Xiamen, and Tianjin, all holding their meetings simultaneously. More than 550 representatives—including leaders and staff from all units under Zhengda Machinery & Electronics—attended the conference.

At the start of the meeting, Director Lei Yuqiang from the Human Resources Department of Zhengda Machinery and Electronics delivered the opening address, encouraging all Zhengda employees to remain humble and avoid complacency, embrace the opportunities brought by change with a spirit of persistent effort, and jointly create a new era of brilliance.

Next, Lin Yi, Director and General Manager of Zero One Industry, delivered a keynote speech titled “Customer-Centricity, People-First Approach, Long-Term Hard Work, and Persistent Self-Criticism.” In his speech, Mr. Lin first reviewed Zero One Industry’s performance in 2023 and summarized its shortcomings, emphasizing the importance and necessity of managing accounts receivable and inventory as well as controlling risks. Subsequently, Mr. Lin provided a detailed analysis and elaboration on Zero One Industry’s key priorities for 2024. Focusing on customer-centricity, he stressed the need to deepen and refine engagement with key customer segments, further innovate the marketing system, conduct thorough research across the entire business process, and reduce operational risks. Under the people-first approach, he highlighted the importance of setting exemplary role models, promoting and empowering young talent, and driving reforms in compensation and performance management. Finally, Mr. Lin encouraged all members of Zero One to embrace long-term hard work and persistent self-criticism, facing challenges with unwavering determination and resilience.

After listening to General Manager Lin’s summary, a representative from the leadership team delivered a keynote presentation. Lian Canhuan, Director of Industry and Deputy General Manager, shared the company’s journey in cultivating and externally recruiting talent, and encouraged young people to “dare to innovate and boldly break new ground.” Following that, Shi Hao, Independent Director of Industry and General Manager of Foshan Bearing, summarized the key highlights of the past year’s work and offered a fresh outlook on multi-platform services and new business models for 2024. Lu Zaiqing, General Manager of the Shunde Branch of Industry, shared his team’s past success stories, placing particular emphasis on the importance of professionalism, supplier management, and team building. The three general managers’ sincere and straightforward words, filled with invaluable insights, undoubtedly enriched all attendees.

Next came the sharing session featuring representatives of business excellence. Four colleagues—Zhang Meiyi, Senior Sales Manager at Zhengyi; Liu Fu, Sales Supervisor at Chengdu Nengda; Wang Yixing, Sales Supervisor at Wuxi Lingdian; and Xia Yusong, Deputy Sales Manager at Dongguan Dasheng—each shared their personal insights on how they put customers at the center of everything they do. Using real-life case studies, they illustrated how they leveraged their professional expertise to address customers’ pain points and meet their needs, working closely with clients to create mutually beneficial value. In addition, everyone emphasized the importance of diligence—the “long-term, hard-working effort” is precisely the most fundamental element for realizing true value. Each of the five outstanding representatives’ shares was brimming with invaluable experience and insightful summaries.

Next, representatives from Zero One Industrial’s functional departments delivered keynote reports focusing on enabling the steady development of our business in 2024. Wang Zhiming, Manager of the Information Department, presented the achievements and plans for digital transformation; Chen Songwen, Deputy Director of the Finance Department, discussed issues related to cash flow and proposed directions and measures for improvement; and Meng Xianglu, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department, highlighted major changes and key initiatives in human resources management.

Following that, Wang Zhenghu, President of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, delivered a keynote speech titled “Steady Management, Embracing Challenges—2024: Customer-Centric, People-First, Long-Term Hard Work, and Persistent Self-Criticism.” First, President Wang summarized the past year 2023 from three perspectives: broadening our global vision and enhancing innovative thinking; implementing strategy-driven initiatives and accelerating digital transformation; and bravely shouldering the responsibility for national rejuvenation. Next, President Wang outlined the work priorities for 2024 at the individual, corporate, and national levels, emphasizing unwavering commitment to “setting strategies, building teams, and leading the workforce.” He shared insights into global strategic thinking, stressed the importance of steady management, drew inspiration from outstanding enterprises, and highlighted the significance of promoting young talent. Finally, President Wang expressed gratitude to generations of national leaders who have led us to stand tall, grow prosperous, and become strong; he thanked his colleagues and family members at the company, as well as the government and society at large. Above all, he felt deeply grateful for this inspiring era that motivates us to strive forward.

Following this, leaders at all levels of the company held a grand awards ceremony to honor individuals and teams that exceeded their targets, star-rated general managers, and outstanding new hires. At the conclusion of the event, the company and its various business units renewed their 2024 operational responsibility agreements. The exciting moments of signing these agreements were pre-recorded and shared live on-site. In addition, this meeting featured a carefully curated video compilation—“Team Spirit Showcase”—created collaboratively by 27 subsidiaries, branch offices, and departments, vividly showcasing each team’s remarkable strengths and demonstrating the unwavering commitment and enthusiasm of all employees. New Year Gala Episode

Following the conclusion of the year-end summary meeting, the 2024 New Year’s Gala of Zhengda Machinery & Electronics was officially kicked off with a video performance by representatives from various units under Zhengda Machinery & Electronics, as well as an energetic dance routine performed live by six young employees. This gala adopted a simultaneous online-and-offline live broadcast format. Subsidiaries, branches, and departments located outside the Foshan region set up sub-venues to join their colleagues in Foshan for the live-streamed 2024 New Year’s Gala. Centered around this year’s conference theme—“Customer-centric, People-oriented, Long-term Hard Work, and Continuous Self-Criticism”—more than 1,000 participants, including Zhengda Machinery & Electronics’ President and Chairman of Zero One Industry, Wang Zhenghu; Industrial Director and General Manager Lin Yi; Independent Industrial Director and General Manager of Foshan Bearing, Shi Hao; Zhengda Machinery & Electronics’ Director of Human Resources and General Manager of Real Estate, Lei Yuqiang, along with Zhengda employees and their family members, celebrated the New Year both online and offline.

The celebration began with a speech by General Manager Lin, who warmly welcomed and sincerely thanked all family members—both those present in person and those joining online. General Manager Lin pointed out that the market changes over the past year had brought severe impacts and challenges to the entire company. However, the ZeroOne team remained undaunted in the face of these difficulties. In the new year, ZeroOne Industrial has made a solid and promising start, and we will continue to stay firmly customer-centric, embracing the entrepreneurial spirit and attitude as we tackle the challenges of 2024. Immediately afterward, Mr. Li Shiguang, Senior Vice President of Siemens DI Group and General Manager of the South China Sales Region, sent a congratulatory video. In his message, Mr. Li first wished everyone a happy and prosperous Year of the Dragon—may you enjoy good health and family happiness. For 17 years, Siemens and Zero One Industrial have been working side by side, overcoming difficulties together and sharing in each other’s successes. Especially over the past year, despite facing significant challenges, Mr. Li praised Zero One Industrial for consistently investing resources, enhancing operational capabilities, and continuously expanding its market presence—laying a solid foundation for the company’s further development. Although 2024 remains full of both challenges and opportunities, Mr. Li firmly believes that with the support of Siemens’ new products and digital solutions, Zero One Industrial will surely seize these opportunities, thrive in the new year, and achieve even greater accomplishments.

The year’s 10 outstanding business representatives also delivered their acceptance speeches via short videos, expressing their anticipation and best wishes for the coming year’s development.

Next, the list of outstanding employees for 2023 was announced. Liu Huan from Dashing Dongguan, representing the out-of-region outstanding employees, and Chen Qing from Yidian Industry and Cai Yongliang from Zhengyi Da, representing the headquarters’ outstanding employees, delivered their acceptance speeches. Each of the three representatives summarized their work accomplishments in 2023 and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the company’s leadership and colleagues for their careful guidance and support. They all expressed great joy at having contributed value to the company and at having achieved personal growth. In 2024, they pledged to continue growing together with the company and its customers, and wished everyone good health and rapid advancement in the coming year.
