Steadily Enhancing, Jointly Creating Brilliance—The 4th Training Session of the CPME Reserve Cadre Program Concludes Successfully

Steadily advancing, learning to support and guide, and jointly creating brilliance. From March 4 to 6, 2022, the reserve cadre class of the echelon talent development program resumed a new round of training and study following their stage growth report on January 24. This training session was held in Qingyuan, a place renowned for its picturesque mountains and clear waters. The overall content was divided into four parts: scenic area experiences, thematic training, exchange and debate sessions, and participant sharing. Lin Yi, General Manager of Zero One Industrial (hereinafter referred to as “General Manager Lin”), Lian Canhuan, General Manager of Siemens Motor Division (hereinafter referred to as “General Manager Lian”), and Peng Jinsong, General Manager of Zhengda Automation (hereinafter referred to as “General Manager Peng”)—all three instructors participated fully in this event. 01 Scenic Area Experience On the morning of March 4, the participants set off together for the Gulong Gorge Scenic Area, a national 4A-level attraction. Through the breathtaking natural scenery, they broadened their horizons and enriched their knowledge. Among them, the famous “internet-famous check-in spots”—such as the suspended glass platform, the glass suspension bridge, and the cascade of waterfalls—allowed the participants to personally experience the poetic sentiment of “standing atop the highest peak, overlooking all the lesser mountains,” offering an exhilarating and thrilling adventure. General Manager Lin shared key points about the forms and methods of upward reporting, preparation, process, follow-up feedback, and final summarization, providing participants with a wealth of valuable insights. He also conducted a question-and-answer session and encouraged active interaction among the participants. This course helped everyone become qualified subordinates who earn their leaders’ trust and peace of mind, while also inspiring core team leaders on how to better guide their teams toward future development. While exercising, they breathed in the fresh morning air and admired the surrounding beauty, creating a harmonious scene where humanity and nature intertwined. (Photo from the morning run) That same morning, General Manager Peng led the course “Listening, Speaking, and Questioning.” General Manager Peng first clarified the difference between hearing and listening, defined what “listening” means, and explained its importance. He then interacted with the participants, jointly exploring the main barriers that affect listening and teaching effective listening techniques. He emphasized that the essence of listening is acceptance—we must learn to “appreciate.” Afterwards, General Manager Peng further explained the appropriate ways, audiences, and techniques for speaking, injecting motivation into the participants to better apply “results-oriented communication.” (Photo from General Manager Peng’s lecture) In the afternoon, General Manager Lian started the course “Social Etiquette Skills” with a passionate and engaging presentation. Social etiquette is not limited merely to dining and drinking; interactions between people themselves are also part of social etiquette. Addressing practical questions and dilemmas encountered by participants in their work, General Manager Lian continuously provided case studies and role-playing scenarios, enabling participants to quickly master various social etiquette skills. He also guided them to use fair and skillful conversation techniques in the future, helping them better shape their professional image and advance their work more effectively. Pairs of participants debated against each other, taking on either the affirmative or negative side. During the debate rounds, both sides quoted classics and argued logically, engaging in intense debates. The entire competition was full of climaxes and continuous excitement! On March 6, the participants stood at the podium, freely sharing their insights and reflections on the knowledge they’d gained and the inspiration they’d received over the past few days, exchanging ideas and sparking intellectual collisions. After each group shared their learnings and realizations, the echelon talent development mentors offered targeted comments and suggestions one after another. General Manager Lin also pointed out that, after several previous training sessions, the participants’ reporting skills had significantly improved. In addition to the original thematic training, a morning running segment was newly added, allowing participants to acquire knowledge while maintaining strong physical health. Furthermore, the first Employee Handbook Quote Exchange and Debate was introduced, deepening the participants’ understanding of the company’s corporate culture. The three thematic training sessions were closely interconnected, directly addressing the various challenges participants face in their work. We believe that the participants will take each training session as a new starting point, diligently absorbing the necessary knowledge, striving to elevate their thinking and comprehensive abilities, putting what they’ve learned into practice, working together wholeheartedly, and persevering through hard work and practical action, thus propelling their future work to even greater heights!
